John Rudolph Dehlbom Jr.

John Rudolph Dehlbom Jr., 67, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Clarkston Care Center. He was 67.

He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 30, at 10 a.m. at the Nashua Cemetery. The family welcomes you to join them to say a few words or to share a few stories.

He was born Feb. 15, 1945, to John Rudolph Dehlbom Sr. and Bertha (Torgerson) Dehlbom in Glasgow, Mont. He attended high school in Nashua.

He married Virginia Capps on Feb. 10, 1963, and they divorced in 1981. He married Jean Lobo April 1, 1982, and they divorced in 1998. He then married Linda Butler July 3, 2004, who survives him.

He was a member of the Montana National Guard and attended training at Fort Ord, Calif. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation in different power plants in the Western United States until his retirement in 2001 with 35 years of service.

He was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time with his family and was a diehard Yankees' fan. He enjoyed hunting and car trading. He owned at least 80 different cars during his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha; and one sister, Michelle Patterson.

He is survived by his son, Dwayne, and his wife, Vicki, in Fredericksburg, Va.; two grandsons, Capt. D. Scott Dehlbom, Jr. and his wife, Liz, in Olympia, Wash., and Randall Erik Dehlbom of Fredericksburg; and a granddaughter, Samantha Victoria Dehlbom, in Fredericksburg.
