She was born on Nov. 3, 1932, in Glasgow, to Herbert and Elizabeth (Jenson) Fullerton. She was one of 14 kids on the family farm southeast of Glasgow. She attended West Galpin for grades 1-6, and then graduated from Glasgow High School in 1949.

She married Norris Clayton Braaten on Nov. 5, 1950, in Glasgow. She and Norris farmed 8 miles west of Glasgow in the Tampico community. A daughter, Kay Ann, was born to them Aug. 21, 1951. A son, Norman, was born to the Braaten family Aug. 17, 1957.

She worked at the Montana Café, Joe's Meat Market, Gallagher's, and the J.C. Penny Store for many years. She began working in the Home Health Care business for many years, gaining a self-proclaimed degree in doctoring. She was forever self-diagnosing herself and others.

She loved the outdoors and was well known for her long walks on the Tampico Highway. She worked hard on her lawn and loved to work in her garden. She was a skilled fisherman (in her mind) and loved to entertain her grandchildren with stories and staying at Gramma's house was her grandchildren's love.

She loved sports and was a die-hard "Yankee" fan. Often she would call and find out what station the game was on and then hang up immediately to watch the game. She loved following her son Norm's basketball and baseball games, both in high school and college. She became an avid Nashua Porcupine fan as her grandchildren attended Nashua. Later in life she became a Scottie fan again and was a well-know critic of the referees. Her favorite times were always being with her family.

She was proceeded in death by 12 brothers and sisters; and her husband, Norris, in 1982, the love of her life.
