Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow, with Pastor Scott Hedegaard officiating, followed by interment in the Glasgow Highland Cemetery, resting together with her husband, Don. Cremation has taken place.

She was born in Wolf Point, Mont., on Oct. 10, 1932, to Thomas and Victoria (LaRoque) Beauchman where she attended school. She moved with her parents and nine brothers and sisters to Fort Peck in the 1950s. She was a nurturing soul and went to Maryland to help care for her niece while in her teens.

During the train trip back to Montana, she met the love of her life, Donald Glen Gay, who was on his way to serve in the military. The romance took root and they married in Glasgow on Aug. 16, 1952. Four children soon followed – Donald Francis, Daniel John, Dennis Wayne and Diana Jean. The family followed Don's construction work all around Montana and Colorado. They finally settled for good in Glasgow in 1971.

She loved children and found her niche providing day care, taking in foster children and being a homemaker. She was known to everyone as Grandma Dean. She will be remembered fondly by her family, friends and all her adopted grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; one son, Daniel; two sisters, Mona Beauchman and Ruby Nelson; and two brothers, Albert Bushman and Thomas Beauchman.
