Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
It was a weekend of layups and 3-pointers as the Jeff Jurgens Memorial Basketball Tournament took place in Glasgow last weekend.
With over 70 teams participating in the tournament, four Glasgow teams pulled out championship victories in their respective age groups.
The fourth grade girls started the party for Glasgow as they took home the first championship for Glasgow in the tournament. The fifth grade girls followed suit and won their championship and over the weekend, Glasgow saw two more of their teams win it all as the seventh grade boys and 10th grade boys teams both won.
The tournament, in its seventeenth year, is put together by Tom and Liz Schmitt.
