Viola 'Vi' Mae Timmerman

Viola “Vi” Mae (Boston) Timmerman died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at age 78 of pneumonia at Valley View Home in Glasgow.

A private gathering for family is planned.

She was born to George and Olga (Olson) Boston Sept. 2, 1935, in Glasgow. She grew up in New Deal and the family moved into Fort Peck when she was 7 years old. She graduated from Glasgow High School and married Robert Richard Timmerman July 2, 1954, in Glasgow. She spent the majority of her life in Fort Peck. In 1978 they moved to Alaska and retired to the Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana in 1983. After Robert’s (Tim) death in 2007, she moved back to Glasgow.

In her younger years she enjoyed sewing, knitting and needlepoint crafts, making many special gifts for family. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Timmerman; two sisters, Dorothy Klepplid and Clara Sweet; and one brother, Allan Boston.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Reddig and her husband, Jerry, of Missoula, and Patsy Buerkle and her husband, Vernon, of Glasgow; one son, Robert Timmerman and his wife, Lisa, of Elberta, Ala .; seven grandchildren, Sharona Gilbert and her husband, Shane, Lindsey Reddig, Levi Reddig, Mathew Buerkle and his wife, Alicia, Kalyn Vogel and her husband, Kevin, Robert R. Timmerman and Joshua Timmerman; six great-grandchildren, Dylan Gilbert, Trinity, Kalista and Jubilee Buerkle, and Piper and Mason Vogel; one brother, George Boston; one sister, Marian Bailey and her husband, David; and numerous nieces and nephews.
