Lenore Wilson

Lenore (Mrs. Albert). Wilson, 82, system engineer, of Wolf Point died Aug. 2, 2013 at a Billings care facility, following a stroke.

A viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 15 Airport Road in Glasgow on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m., followed by a graveside service at the Highland Cemetery.

She was born in Indiana, grew up in Texas, graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, and taught mathematics in high school in Amarillo, Texas. She later moved to California where she graduated from Cal Tech Northridge with certification in general engineering. She was employed as a systems engineer by Litton Data systems (Van Nuys, Calif.,), by Tesdata (McLean, Va.), by RCA (Camden, N.J.), General Electric and Martin Marietta (later Lockheed Martin) in Moorestown, N.J., before retiring in 1994 to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wolf Point.

Major work before her retirement involved the design and testing of simulators for the U.S. Navy’s AEGIS weapon system, for which she was awarded an individual AEGIS Excellence Award by the Navy in 1992.

With her husband, she was active in all levels of Scouting with the Boy Scouts of America, and earned the Woodbadge Award in the Owl Patrol.

Survivors include her husband, Albert L. Wilson; two brothers, John A. Weber, of Lees Summit, Mo., and Walter E. Weber of Port Lavaca, Texas; one son, Charles L. Wilson, and his wife, Loretta, of Glasgow; one daughter, Holly Danneman, of Alpine, Utah; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
