Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

FPST Presents 'Arsenic and Old Lace'

The Fort Peck Summer Theater will open their 48th annual season with Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace. Directed by Heather Adams (director and choreographer of FPST hits Mary Poppins, Always, Patsy Cline, A Grand Night for Singing and The Music Man), this performance will showcase the talents of Pam L. Veis and Pat Sibley as the Brewster Sisters.

An American classic, this dark comedy is sure to please. FPST bills the performance stating, “Laughs ensue, as a pair of lovable, spinster sisters ‘assist’ lonely elderly gentlemen by serving homemade elderberry wine laced with arsenic, strychnine, and ‘just a pinch’ of cyanide.”

Jay Michael Roberts will co-star in the role of Mortimer. Roberts also served as the show’s scenic designer, creating an expansive gothic victorian manor. His past designs include the old Glasgow town display at the Valley County Pioneer Museum.

Rounding out the cast is Mary Ohm in her debut performance as Mortimer’s fiancé, Elaine, Dan Hance, Sydney Hayward, Stephen Hohendorf, Martin Holt, Andy Meyers, Jacob Nalley, Jamie Parnell and Jon Svingen. Geoff Belliston of Phoenix, Ariz., Meggie Seigrist of New Jersey and David Hopson of Wolf Point are also making their FPST debuts in the show.

Performances are June 2 – June 18 at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays at 4 p.m. For more information, call 406-526-9943 or the online box office at fortpecktheatre.org.
