How to Cook a Thanksgiving Turkey

To celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, we asked the students at Nashua Elementary School how to cook a Thanksgiving Turkey. We've published their replies "as is." If you're interested in other holiday recipes, The Glasgow Courier will be publishing their annual Holiday Gift Guide next week.

Kindergarten class

Go get a 100-pound turkey from a mountain. Cook the turkey in the stove for 10 minutes 2 degrees. I would eat my turkey with my friends.

Buy a turkey at the store and it has to weigh 14 pounds. Cook it in the oven for about 5 minutes and then put salt and pepper on it when it is done. Then put stuffing on the side. I would eat my turkey with my family.

Get a turkey from a hill and cook it on a fire at my house outside. The turkey must weigh 13 pounds. My mom would cook it for 1 minute. Then put syrup on the turkey and everyone in my family would come to eat it.

How to Cook a Turkey

First, I got my turkey from Reynolds. When I get home I take the turkey out of its plastic. Then, I stick a thermostat in to the turkey. Put it in the oven for 45 minutes. Next I wait for 45 minutes to pass and then after I take out the turkey and the thermostat out of the turkey. Finally I put the turkey on the table with the other good stuff.

First, you get the turkey from a rancher. Next you bucher it. Then you pluck the turkey. Then you cook it at 367 degrees fahrenheit for 45 minutes. While you are cooking it you add salt and pepper. Then you take it out and split it open so all the steam can come out. This will cool it off and then take off the wings. Have a great dinner.

Once you have put the turkey in the roaster you can put salt and pepper on it. Then you cook the turkey all day. It will be done for Thanksgiving. It will be ready to eat with your family.
