Vote For Erin Farris-Olsen For Clerk Of The Supreme Court

Glasgow friends, join me in voting for Erin Farris-Olsen for Clerk of the Supreme Court. I have known Erin for a number of years. She is smart, hardworking and dedicated to our Montana values and way of life.

The clerk serves the court and the public as the keeper of all the court's legal records. This includes receipt, filing, and transmitting of pleading documents and transcripts, sharing records with other and maintaining public access to these records. The clerk typically is the first person a litigant or their attorney interacts with when they have business before the bench. 

The current incumbent has a different view of the duties of the position. He thinks part of the job is to promote a partisan agenda - in the branch of government that is supposed to be non partisan. He refers to helping out conservative attorneys in their presentations to the court.

This partisanship is a liability to the even-handed administration of justice. It indicates a lack of ethics and probable incompetence.
