Gwendolyne Honrud / The Courier

Irle School first grader Ally Meland gives the JumpaBuck Ice Cream Truck Man and Kyle Masonic Lodge, of Hinsdale, Kevin Taylor a huge hug as he announced the winners for the Books for Kindle program organized by the Kyle Masonic Lodge, out of Hinsdale.

Kevin Taylor, of the Kyle Masonic Lodge out of Hinsdale, with the assistance of Irle School Cook Cody Tarver, handed out Kindles to three Irle elementary students at each grade level on May 9 for the annual Kindles for Kids program ran by the Masonic Lodge. To determine who went home with the covenant prize to encourage reading on the go in the summer, names were drawn from entires that students had to fill out based upon their reading habits in the school year.

After the Kindles were handed out, popsicles were provided by JumpaBuck Ice Cream Truck and handed out by volunteer Dan Cole, to each student in attendance of the presentation as "Everyone is a winner in my eyes," stated Taylor.
