Girl Scouts Enjoy Earth Day At Fort Peck

Girl Scout Troop 2077 (and one scout from Glasgow Troop 2280) spent a fantastic day outside for Earth Day. With the help of Ranger Lak Kloker, the girls spent the day checking on bird boxes around the Downstream Campground. We walked around the walking trail and the Winter Harbor area, checking to be sure the boxes were cleaned out and available for use for spring birds to come make a home.

Kloker gave the girls some basic instruction on using power tools, and they were able to remove damaged boxes and put up new.

It was the perfect sunshine day for us to enjoy Earth Day and do a bit of community service.
