For the week of Jan. 23 through 28, there were 21 motor vehicle stops, one inspection request and two reports of loose dogs.

For the week of Jan. 29 through Feb. 4, there were 11 motor vehicle stops and six reports of loose dogs.

Monday, Jan. 23

1213 – Caller reported a possible haystack fire. When asked if she saw smoke or fire, she said smoke. Upon getting ready to page fire out, dispatch realized there is a burn permit in that general area. The permit holder was contacted and he stated the four to five bales of foxtail were smoldering and causing smoke to move around the area. The reporting party was called back and explained the situation. Both parties stated they would call back if they noticed anything that needed a response to.

2014 – Caller reported an older red Ford that was off the side of the road. There were three younger gentlemen in the vehicle. They had told the reporting party they are okay and someone is getting them.

2151 – Individual was testing his fall alert in the event he falls down or gets hurt. The call was only a test.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

0739 – Reporting arty called stating someone backed into her fence. She states there are tracks that show it was her neighbor but doesn't know who was driving when this occurred. An officer later advised the vehicle appears to be parked and spoke to a female. The female told the officer it was her fiance who did this on his way to work this morning.

1236 – Reporting party called to report that MT Hwy 438 is down to about one lane. She states from MM 26 North it is drifted up to about the car doors. She thinks the only reason it is even this good is because of all the truck traffic on the road. MT DOT was notified.

1546 – Female called wanting to know what happened with a female black lab that was dropped off at a nearby place. They believe it was possibly taken to the pound. The number was provided for GPD.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

0700 – Reporting party stating the hill on MT 438 from US Hwy 2 is very slippery, she would like MT DOT notified to sand it. MT DOT was notified.

0956 – Reporting party called stating there are two cow haulers by Nashua going westbound. They were tailgating him with no room between the trucks. Reporting party said at one point he was going 75 MPH and the truck was right on him. He would be willing to sign a complaint about the matter. At 1000, a deputy advised he jut passed two cow haulers, and they were about a mile apart. Then there was another one and that one was about ½ miles from the others. He is going to continue on eastbound to see if he can see any other trucks like this.

1535 – Caller requested an officer at the Stockman's Bar. She said a female is there and is really drunk. She is attempting to fight another female.

1612 – The caller received a notice in the mail from a company called Diamond Parking Services LLC. The letter was about a supposed parking ticket. He said he hasn't been out of the area so he thinks this was out of Glasgow. He also believes that Diamond Parking Services is a collection agency. He already called the PD and was told to call dispatch. Dispatch couldn't find any record, and was advised it's possibly a scam.

1642 – Reporting party called advising he is driving a tractor trailer. He turned onto the turnoff for a local ranch and went into the ditch. He states the trailer is in the lane of travel on US Hwy 2. He is putting markers out there now but needs an officer to help with traffic control. He will get someone from the ranch to pull him out.

1833 – Officer advised that a semi hauling hay pulled into Agland and now he can't get out. Officer will stop US 2 traffic so he can back out.

Thursday, Jan. 26

1229 – Female called in requesting an officer to help push her out. She advised her front end is stuck.

1648 – Caller reported sometime between this afternoon and now a vehicle had been in her backyard. She said the vehicle tracks also show that it almost hit a power pole.

2010 – McKenzie County Sheriff's Office in North Dakota said they have an incoherent drunk on the phone. They can't understand him and don't know what phone number he's calling from. An officer spoke with him for awhile and was told that he's in Glasgow. She asked if she could transfer the call to us. The caller was then transferred and dispatch stated the man was hard to understand. The caller ID showed the phone number was withheld. AN officer was patched up with the call as well. At one point, it sounded like the man identified himself, and dispatch was able to get name and address.

Friday, Jan. 27

1501 – Reporting party said a Ford passed his vehicle and two other vehicles in a no-pass zone. He said the license plate was out of North Dakota and provided the plate number. He also stated he would be willing to sign a complaint. RCSO was provided the information.

Saturday, Jan. 28

1109 – Reporting party wanted to speak with someone about identify theft. She stated awhile ago she noticed someone trying to change her address. Then she received a security alert on her phone number and mail telling her she was applying for cards. There have also been inquiries on her credit report. Deputy advised the reporting party is going to bring down paperwork on Monday regarding the credit cards taken out in her name and deputy will it further.

1639 – Reporting party called 911 stating a large pile of hay. It was determined the hay was east of Brockton, Roosevelt County dispatch was notified and they were already advised.

Sunday, Jan. 29

1234 – Caller reported a water hauler stuck at the intersection. It's blocking the lanes but traffic can still make it's way around the semi, just barely. Another caller reported the same a few minutes later, stating the location is 1 miles east of Nashua. Ten minutes later, Thompson and Sons advised they received a call about the semi and they are getting a wrecker ready to go assist the truck. Deputy and MHP dispatch was notified. Roosevelt County Patrol was also noticed and arrived on scene to assist with traffic control.

1739 – Caller reported the road in front of a residence has black ice needed to be sanded. She stated she did a complete 360 and did not hit any vehicles. A voicemail was left for the street department.

Monday, Jan. 30

0750 – Caller reported she struck a deer. While on 911 with the caller, dispatch received another call regarding the same situation. The woman reported a vehicle hit a deer by Nashua. The first caller stated she was driving from North Dakota to Glasgow for work and was unfamiliar with the area The reporting party stated the deer is on the opposite side of the road and is dead. Deputy was notified. A wrecker was called per deputy request. Glasgow DOT was also notified of the deed deer.

0950 – Assistant manager at the location reported a shoplifter from the day before at 1259, who was caught on camera. The individual is a former employee. They removed the item from the shelf and walked around the store for awhile, then removed the item from the packaging and placed the packaging back on the shelf.

1104 – Reporting party stated they have an unruly customer. He stayed a second night without paying and is refusing to leave. Her manager is in the lobby currently while the reporting party stepped off to the side to call law enforcement.

1228 – A caller reported there is a man wondering around the parking lot and US Hwy 2, yelling and shouting. A description of the male was provided. An officer was notified who stated it was the man from the previous call. The man was asking about panhandling laws in the state, which the officer informed him off. The officer believes he is looking for a way out of town.

1535 – Reporting party called requesting an officer. She said the man they called about earlier returned. She told him he needed to leave. He walked out and then returned. She's not sure if he's still downstairs in the building.

1806 – The caller bumped his phone when putting it in his pocket. He had a message on the phone stating it possibly called 911. He called to state everything is okay.

1903 – Caller stated they're trying to watch the Glasgow High School concern on NFHS but the school has their radio playing so they can't hear the kids' concert. She tried calling her son who is in the audience but didn't get an answer. She was wondering if someone could contact the school and ask them to turn their radio down so they can hear the concert.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

0219 – Caller reported the cross arms were down at the Whately Road Crossing but there is no train on the track. It was advised BNSF is sending a crew to fix the problem. Caller wanted dispatch to be aware in case any calls are received.

0625 – Reporting party called stating he hit a deer with his school bus and it is laying in the westbound lane. He said the deer needs to be moved before someone else hits it and has an accident. A deputy would be sent but the driver said he was continuing on the road. Deputy and DOT was notified. At 0633, a female called in stating her husband was driving to work and saw the accident and the bus drive just kept going. She was concerned for the school kids as well as the fact that her husband told her the deer was still in the road and the bus was slightly damaged. The caller was notified the reporting party stated there were no injuries and the bus was driveable.

1501 – Reporting party called to report they found a large suitcase. It was found either Sunday or Monday there and the reporting party wasn't sure if she was on days off, the tag of the suitcase is listed to a male. There is a phone number also on the tag, and they have tried calling the number. An officer took the suitcase to a local hotel on Feb. 1. It was dropped off at the front desk per the request of the owner's father.

1716 – Caller reported black smoke south of town, where she could see it from the back parking lot of the hospital. A deputy was notified, who requested fire command be called to check it out due to being in the middle of training. At 1712, another call was received from a male stating he can see black smoke (no flames) from south of the river back behind the trees. A burn permit was issued and that's where the smoke was coming from. At 0007 on Feb. 1, another male called and reported a red glow south of Glasgow. He was advised there was a burn permit in the area.

2111 – Caller reported a man wearing a coat outside in front of the residence. The reporting party stated he has been out there for about 10 minutes pacing back and forth, acting animated and seems frustrated. The caller was advised not to engage.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

1907 – Caller said his Ford is stuck on the ice. It's halfway in his driveway and sticking out in the road. A couple of tow companies were notified with no answer. A third wrecker company was contacted and would be responding. Later the caller asked to cancel the wrecker.

1953 – Caller said her horse trailer is stuck in front of an abandoned house. They have lights and flashers on, and it out of the driving lane. They will try and get it moved in the next 24 hours.

Thursday, Feb. 2

0711 – Reporting party called stating he just got a call from a male, foreign sounding, that told him he owes over $900 on his Amazon account. The male stated he doesn't' have an Amazon account and then the caller wanted his bank account information at which point the reporting party disconnected the call. He didn't give out any of his personal information. Dispatch advised the caller to never give out any personal information.

0947 – RCSO Dispatch called stating they received a call from a male who told them that there is a semi trailer that came unhooked from the tractor and hit the ditch. A deputy and MHP was notified. It was determined to be a modular trailer with a house on it. There is a tractor parked down the road. At 1041, a deputy advised the hitch broke on the tractor and they are going to be welding it.

1121 – Reporting party called in stating he just found out that someone is living on his property for about a year now in a fifth wheel trailer. He doesn't know who it is and whoever it is they do not have permission to be there. The reporting party said that another male called and told him aboutt this.

1111 – Reporting party called stating she had a woman come in just a few minutes ago to return an item. It was covered in dog hair so she couldn't take it back. The woman then told her she was going to have her daughter come beat her up. She was also told the reporting party that her daughter will probably beat her up first and she will tell the ambulance driver that it is her fault.

1506 – Reporting party called stating she has a male who works for BNSF RR. He has been seeing a cow and calf since November by Vandalia Dam between the river and the railroad tracks. They are now eating trees.

1630 – Reporting party called stating they are behind what they believe is a tow truck that is driving down the middle of the road causing other drivers to swerve to get out of the way. Connection was lost several times during the call.

1908 –A public assist call was recorded. Deputy advised they're waiting for someone to deliver a tire to them and also advised they had to go to the hospital for a medical purpose. He'll see if there is a licensed driver. At 1928, everything was okay as one person has a driver's license and will have to return with another licensed driver to get the vehicle.

Friday, Feb. 3

0504 – Call center reported a 911 call routed to them. The reporting party said there is a deer, looks like her back is broken and she is dragging herself around every time a vehicle drives by.

1228 – Reporting party called stating that at his niece's house there is a car that has been parked there for months now. He states that because this vehicle is there and not moving, the ice has built up so bad the niece is having problems parking at her residence. The caller would like the officers to get the owner to move the vehicle. It was advised an officer put a parking sticker on the vehicle.

1605 – Reporting party stated a man drove into the back of his vehicle. The caller followed the man and confronted him about it, but the man denied it. The reporting party then went on his way where he located the male and confronted him again. The man then began to shove him around and say things. The caller walked away and went into the store to call dispatch. It was alter advised the caller doesn't want anything done now, but the owner of the other vehicle will be contacted.

1618 – Reporting party stated there is a rubber arm band and the wrap for the arm that is blue and looks like gauze by her neighbors car, right by the front right tire. She was worried about it being there as it might have blood on it and not have been disposed of properly. She stated it appeared to be a roll like an EMT might have dropped it. She would like an officer to come, pick it up and dispose of it. An officer arrived and determined it was an unused roll of coban medical wrap There was no blood on it.

Saturday, Feb. 4

0055 – Two callers reported a loud sound like an explosion. A jailer called and said he also heard a loud sound, while an officer also stated it can be heard at the GPD. At 0110, an officer stated they smelled gunpowder but couldn't pinpoint where it came from, likely a firework.

0729 – Reporting party called in about a couple of trucks headed westbound that are in the westbound lane. One truck is disconnected from the trailer. They have markers out, but are blocking traffic. A deputy was advised. It was advised the trailer has four flat tires and someone is coming to bring a front end loader to unload some of the hay and another person is coming to fix the tire. One of the vehicles was moved to a vacant lot to finish unloading.

1422 – Reporting party stated his 90-year old aunt got a call from someone stating they were with Dish Network. Before she realized this was not right, she supplied her social security number and her date of birth. The reporting party called this in concerned, and advised him to contact Dish Network directly and report the fraud. It was also advised for the caller to contact the victim witness advocate at the GPD.

1825 – A woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, reported a man driving with a suspended driver's license leaving a parking lot. She stated he lives in St. Marie and a description of the vehicle was provided. A deputy was advised and the driver's license was ran to confirm his license is suspended.
