For the week of Dec. 26 through Jan. 1, there were 19 motor vehicle stops and one report of a loose dog.

For the week of Jan. 2 through Jan. 7, there were 16 motor vehicle stops and two reports of loose/missing dogs.

For the week of Jan. 9 through 14, there were 10 motor vehicle stops and four reports of loose/missing/barking dogs.

Saturday, Dec. 31

1252 – Reporting party called and stated she was bit by the neighbor dog on her right hand between the index finger and thumb. She states she was in the street in front of where the dog owner resides. The skin is broken in the location on her hand. She has not spoke with the dog owner as of yet as she was just trying to get away from the dog. The caller stated they have had trouble with this dog in the past when it jumped the fence and went after her dog. Information was passed along. At 1445, the deputy was called away for assistance in a high priority case. He is going to attempt to contact the parties involved to find out more information. Deputy advised the owner of the dog was cited for dog at large.

1334 – Officer advised he would be out to speak to a male at the residence. Shortly there after he called for back up. At 1343, officer called for back up at his location, advised him of officers responding. During the received call from a female reporting an officer at the corner attempting to take a male down. It was advised dispatch is aware of the situation and is attempting to get more officers to the location. At 1347, deputy advised he had a female in custody and is bringing her to the jail. Officer also advised they are bringing a male in custody. They also requested to have EMS respond to check out the male as he was tased a couple of times during the attempt to take him into custody.

1451 – Alarm company called in and stated they got an alarm for smoke at the address. They were going to call the key holder after they hung up with dispatch. Before getting the card filled out, reporting party called back and stated they spoke to the key holder and it was a false alarm. Someone was cooking and it set off the alarms.

1831 – Deputy advised a deed deer at a listed location. Requested DOT be notified.

2021 – A motor vehicle accident was reported. Per deputy it looks like a vehicle left the roadway into the ditch.

Sunday, Jan. 1

0244 – Per officer a beige truck is doing burnouts and is now possibly stuck. At 0246, they were stopped behind Holiday on 1st St. N.

0301 – Per officer, a person couldn't see because of the frost on their window.

Monday, Jan. 2

1426 – Reporting party called in asking for patrol as she is headed home from work to look for a child. She stated that he took off, as far as she knows, within the last 10 to 20 minutes. The grandmother can not recall what he is wearing. They are in the area actively looking for the child. Information was passed along to an officer. Later the mother called back and stated they found the child. He was upstairs passed out asleep under a pile of blankets in the sisters room. Officer was updated on the status and arrived on scene. At 1430, he advised he spoke with the mother and grandmother.

2008 –A disabled motor vehicle was reported. Two vehicles are on both sides of the highway with their flashers on. One vehicle is facing the east and one is facing the west. There is no damage and there is no one walking around.

2030 – Deputy advised a Taurus broke down. Deputy is staying with the kids for one of the drivers' mom to get there. Deputy advised they almost got the car on Cherry Creek Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

1106 – A disabled motor vehicle was reported. Caller reported a new black SUV of some kind, it has it's hood up and flashers on but its parked in a small turning lane and doesn't appear anyone is around. Deputy responded and advised it is occupied by two people. The transmission went out so the deputy will try and push the vehicle off the road.

1317 – Reporting party came into the dispatch lobby wanting to speak to an officer about an individual harassing her at work. An officer was notified who requested the party came to the Glasgow Police Department to speak to a victim witness advocate.

2058 – Caller requested someone to unlock her door as she accidentally locked her keys inside her apartment and she is outside in the cold freezing. Called a locksmith to unlock the callers door.

Wednesday, Jan. 4

0541 – Reporting party called and stated he wanted to speak with an officer because he was tired of people “ getting up in his face.” An officer was notified who advised the reporting party come to the police department and talk to the officer about what happened.

0536 – Reporting party called regarding a “big guy” hitchhiking on US Highway 2 at about mile marker 546. She gave a description of the male. She's concerned for him because it is so cold, and also she didn't see him, until he turned his head, and his headlamp hit her eyes. She stated he is walking with traffic going eastbound on the south side of the highway. Deputy later advised he located the male and offered a ride, however the man refused to let the deputy search his bag, which was needed before the male could get into the vehicle. Deputy also stated the male seemed okay and was dressed warmly.

0953 – Reporting party called stating he had gone to talk to his neighbor about his dogs. He stated he has talked to the neighbor before and it has gone well, however today the neighbor made threatening remarks regarding the dogs. The party isn't sure if the neighbor was serious but thought it was an extreme response to their talk. The reporting party is concerned about the statements that were made.

1445 – Caller reported he backed up into a parked vehicle. There are no injuries.

1613 – Reporting party called to state there is a chimney fire down Heather Lane. When trying to locate an address, it was determined the fire was from a driveway on Highland Drive. However, there is no fire now and the smoke is gone. She stated earlier she had seen lots of black smoke as well as flames. It was advised an officer would be contacted. It was determined there is no fire at the described residence and no fireplace either. A nearby homeowner was contacted, and it was his chimney that was affected.

1625 – Deputy took a call from a brand inspector who stated he took a complaint about cattle not being taken care of before Christmas. He found the cattle were being fed and watered. The inspector just wanted it documented.

2010 – Officer advised the owner of a local business responded a vehicle has been abandoned by her building since Dec. 23. The vehicle has heavy front end damage.

Thursday, Jan. 5

0810 – Reporting party called stating he can see heavy black smoke from his residence. Officer was notified who stated he can see the smoke from the Glasgow Police Department office and looks like its coming from Fossums, so it's possible some equipment was just fired up. Dispatch called the reporting party back and provided an update.

1503 – Officer advised he had a male come into his office today to report stolen tires, a high lift jack and miscellaneous tools as well as someone used his food stamp card and social security debit card.

1529 – Reporting party called in to advise she manages some property and states there is a white van behind the property that sticks out in the alley. She has asked all her tenants if it is theirs, but no one knows whose it is. The van has been parked there for about four months, that the caller is aware of. At 1546, officer spoke with the caller and informed her that since the vehicle is parked on private property, she would have to get it towed.

1730 – Caller requested a officer to look at her front door lock. She thinks her dead bolt has been tampered with.

2327 – Caller reported four antelope, three of them dead and one still alive in the ditch. A description of the location was provided. At 2345, the deputy moved as much of the antelope as possible off the road onto the south side. MDOT was also notified.

Friday, Jan. 6

0319 – RCSO requested deputy to respond to a situation where the caller is reporting someone knocking at her door. The caller stated her son's vehicle was also broken into last night. Tribal was also contacted who went out to the location and was not able to make contact.

0324 – Caller reported a deer in the middle of the westbound lane that was hit and still alive. At 0353 the deputy found the doe. MDOT was notified.

0842 – Reporting party called to report their camper trailer has been getting broken into and whoever is doing the damage seems to be damaging the door and lock. It's not believed anything has been taken from the trailer. At 0847, officer advised there are three trailers, two are locked and one is open, but doesn't appear to have any damage.

0950 – Reporting party called in to report a conversation she had overhead, where an individual had left their dog and cat in St. Marie.

1125 – A male called in requesting dispatch call another individual notifying them the caller has spun out on Iron Bear Hill and is fully loaded with a trailer of oil. He needs someone to come to his location with a loader or a blade to help him. The caller doesn't' have any cell service where is is and needs help immediately. Multiple people related to the caller were contacted to provide assistance.

1312 – Reporting party said a package containing an i-Phone 11, white in color, was stolen off her front porch, either last night or this morning. According to Fedex, it was delivered at 1100 yesterday (1/5/23), as promised. A deputy was notified and advised Tribal has been to the address and took the complaint.

1413 – Reporting party said a white Caravan hit a parked Durango and drove off. The reporting party has photos and provided plate numbers. At 1505, it was determined the officer advised he located the owner of the Durango. It was determined the Caravan jumpstarted the vehicle and there was no accident.

1725 – Reporting party called and said she thought she needed to speak to Fish, Wildlife & Parks. She said people were poaching deer and putting the carcasses in her dumpster.

2217 – Caller reported a male in the camper behind her place is throwing beer bottles at her house. It was determined there is no damage to the reporting party's house.

Saturday, Jan. 7

0039 – An individual had reported a party. Officer drove by and there is no party, this is unfounded.

1238 – Caller reported a fender bender. Both parties involved pulled into the Albertson's parking lot. There is no injuries and no severe damage of the vehicles. The bumper of the car has a small dent.

1744 – Caller reported a deer with two broken back legs. When confirming the information, the line went silent, and dispatch disconnected the call to be able to call back. At 1737, another call came in from the reporting party and confirmed the information provided. In the second call, it was determined two deer were hit, the one that was hit is dead and there was a second car that hit a deer, which is the one with the broken legs. At 1753, deputy stated the deer has been dispatched and will be in the yard of the Fish Hatchery.

Monday, Jan. 9

1136 – Dispatch was contacted about a general fire alarm. The maintenance person on the building was contacted and he stated there was no smoke or fire. He is on site trying to figure out why the alarm was triggered. He will call back if the need arises to have someone respond.

1340 – Reporting party called to state she was involved in a minor accident. There are no injuries and no damage. An officer was requested so information can be exchanged for insurance companies.

1421 – Alarm company called regarding an alarm in multiple zones. They had not spoken to the key holder. The maintenance person was contacted and they are still working on figuring out why the alarm was triggering. The original call was at 1136 the same day. There is no smoke and no fire.

2113 – RCSO called and stated they received a 911 call, and presumed it was a female holding the phone and keeping the line open while am ale was screaming and yelling at the caller. They are sending an officer en route. RCSO stated they have received previous calls from the location before. A deputy was notified and though was handling a different call at the time, will keep updated if able to respond. At 2125, RCSO was advised the deputy is en route.

2123 – Caller reported he's behind a possible DUI that's going from lane to lane. A description of the vehicle was provided as well as direction of travel. At 2116, the party advised the vheicle pulled up to a house that has a garage.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

0717 – An employee called in requesting an officer. She stating that sometime after 1800 hours on the third and the morning of the fourth, someone has spray painted graffiti by the drop boxes on their building. She had originally noticed it on Wednesday the 4th but forgot to report it. At 0723, an officer advised he has photographed the graffiti. He also checked other buildings in the area and this is the only building with the graffiti on it.

1039 – Reporting party called in stating something strange is going on. There is a box truck backed up to a shop/residence. However no one should be there, to his knowledge. It was advised they are workers that are installing flooring.

1313 – Reporting party called stating they received what looks like a bill from a company out of Denver, Colo., called Expresstoll Service Center. It looks to be a bill for a toll fee that occurred on Sept. 25, 2022. The reporting party stated they have their license plate listed on the bull but they have not been to the state of Colorado and no one has used their vehicle to go out of state either. Dispatch advised it could be an advertisement or a mistake or a scam so advised they call the number and talk to them about this without giving any personal information. At 1321, the reporting party called back and stated a person at the company talked a lot about adverting things. She then talked to what sounded like the same person again, who asked her for the plate number on the invoice as well as the statement id number. Then the person stated there might be some kind of problem with their system.

1423 – Superintendent with a Valley County school called in requesting an officer to assist with a locker search. Deputy called stating they were talking to the county attorney right now about the legalities of an officer doing a local search. If they can find out they can do it, then a deputy will take the call and go out there.

1739 – Caller requested an officer at a Valley County location. She's in Billings with her mother, and they were told that her sister is selling her mother's stuff out of the house. The caller was patched up with a deputy.

2038 – Caller reported he is being followed by a car going eastbound on US Highway 2. A description of the location was provided. The caller stated he is going about 65 to 66 MPH and the car is getting up close to his bumper and then slowing down to approximately 20 MPH. At one point the caller stated he had slowed down to a complete stop to have the guy pass him but the car just stopped with him. When attempting to get a description of the vehicle, the call disconnected. A deputy was advised and was not able to locate anything. At 2043, the deputy advised he is going towards Glasgow and requested Glasgow Police be advised.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

0753 – Reporting party called wanting an officer to come and take a report of a male who just left. He had tried to fight not only the reporting party but one of his employees. At 0804, officer advised everything is okay. The manager is coming in to pull the video and the officer will stop back by in a couple of hours to pick it up.

0931 – Reporting party called in stating she just woke up, looked outside and noticed that her vehicle has been driven by someone as there is sand on her tires, as well as other things. She also stated there have been other odd things with her vehicle going on lately and she will discuss this with the officer when he comes. She states she is the only person who has keys to her vehicle.

1011 – Reporting party called in to advise that the big hill on Hwy 438 off US Highway 2 is very slick with ice, especially bad for trucks. MDOT in Wolf Point was contacted. He said he would get a hold of Glasgow and let them know about the hill. He said he knew they were out and probably just hadn't gotten to it yet as it is a secondary road.

1126 – Caller reported he needs an officer for an accident. There are no injuries, someone just backed into him. An officer arrived and advised both parties exchanged information and will handle this on their own.

1314 – Hospital reported a patient got bit by his own dog at their residence. The dog is up to date on shots. An officer was notified.

Thursday, Jan. 12

1048 – Received a 911 call, where dispatch could year yelling, a male's voice as well as a female's voice but couldn't get anyone to answer. Dispatch continued to try and get someone's attention but no one would respond. An officer left to respond immediately while dispatch tried to get someone to talk. Two voices were still heard, which sounded like one male, one female. Officer arrived on scene while dispatcher stayed on the line.

2000 – Reporting party said he slid off the north side of US 2 by the west end of Nashua. He's not injured and there's no damage to his vehicle. Thompsons and Son was contacted and they will pick up the vehicle. Helena Highway Patrol was notified.

Friday, Jan. 13

0849 – City Road Crew advised they are shutting down 7th St. N from US Highway 1 to Airport Road for ice removal. EMS and Fire has been notified.

1515 – Caller advised she is stuck in front of her residence. Her tires are just spinning and digging herself in deeper. Dispatch offered to call a wrecker for her and she advised she is on disability so can't afford a wrecker. At 1543, the party called in again, and dispatch advised the information has been passed to a city officer who will be stopping by At 1623, it was reported the officer advised he tried pushing her out but she is too stuck. Transit is there and will be giving her a ride.

1728 – Caller reported that someone had hit a deer on US 2 just west of the Old Smokey Road. A description of the vehicle was provided. The vehicle is sitting on US 2 without any hazard lights on. He couldn't see anyone inside the vehicle and he thinks the deer is off the road. Later, a caller reported that one of their employees hit a deer about two miles west of Nashua on US 2. The driver is with the vehicle and they have their hazard lights on. The vehicle is disabled and the deer is dead. Thompsons wrecker was also contacted.

1914 – Reporting party called in about a vehicle driving erratically. She noticed the vehicle on US 2 westbound and followed it as far as 6th St., where it turned and went into the underpass. She is willing to sign complaint. At 1928, officer advised he was unable to locate the vehicle.

Saturday, Jan. 14

0900 – Reporting party called in stating there is a dead deer in the road. A deputy was notified at 1034 about the possibility of the deer being on the road and has not received anymore calls about the deer in the location. The deputy will drive that route on his way to Glasgow and let dispatch know the location to notify DOT if needed.

1930 – Deputy advised a public assist. There are two vehicles and it appears one of them is stuck. They were trying to turn around and slid off. The vehicle is off the road and not a hazard. Deputy advised them to leave it until tomorrow because the fog is too think to try to pull people out.

2156 – Caller reported some people fighting. One person is on the ground, one person is hunched over them and three others are walking away. At 2200, reporting party called back stating there is something laying by the light pole behind D&G and the Els. At 2228, per officer all parties were issued warnings for disorderly conduct.
