Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Annual Remembrance Tree Program

The Glasgow High School Student Council (STUCO) members held their 24th annual Remembrance Tree program at the Pioneer Museum on Dec. 4.

STUCO members, led by President Lane Thompson, welcomed those in attendance, which included Deacon Ed Malone, from St. Raphael's Catholic Church, who gave the evening's address.

Over 300 bulbs were purchased in memory of loved ones that have passed away or in honor of military members. The money collected, which was over $1,500, will be donated to the new swimming pool project.

STUCO students Riley Clampitt, Myles Yoakam, Nick Solorzano, Reed Larsen, in addition to President Thompson read the names of those remembered followed by a moment of silence to reflect on the memories of loved ones.

As with each yearly program, refreshments were served after everyone joined in on singing "Silent Night."

The tree will be lit outside of the Pioneer Museum through Dec. 31.
