Frazer XC

The Bearcubs' cross country teams traveled to Culbertson Sept. 24 after their Frazer Invitational, scheduled for Sept. 22, was postponed due to course conditions. The varsity girls team placed sixth with 148 points while the boys team, with only two runners, did not post a team score.

Alyssa Toce Blount placed 26th to lead the Frazer girls. She ran a 24:31.63, nearly a minute faster than her time at the Glasgow Invitational Sept. 17. Angel Nelligan ran a 26:24.48 for 39th place, followed closely by Isabelle Even in 40th with a time of 26:24.49. Even cleared nearly 50 seconds from her time at the Glasgow Invitational.

Shakira Beston ran a 26:53.83, a 40-second improvement, for 46th place and Kalianna Toce Blount finished in 49th place at 27:17.73, nearly two minutes faster than her time at the Glasgow Invitational.

Cassius Smoker and Joseph Beston competed in the varsity boys race. Smoker ran a 25:53.21, a minute-plus improvement from the Glasgow Invitational, to take 63rd place. Beston finished in 71st place with a time of 31:04.09, more than four-and-a-half minutes faster than his time in Fort Peck.

Middle School Girls

The Frazer girls took sixth place with 133 points.

Frazer will now host their Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 4, on Old Indian Highway. Elementary boys will race at 4:15 p.m. followed by elementary girls at 4:35 p.m. Junior high girls will start at 4:55 p.m. followed by junior high boys at 5:05 p.m. Varsity girls will begin their race at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity boys will run at 6 p.m. The meet will conclude with and All Schools Alumni Race at 6:30 p.m.

The Bearcubs will attend the Malta Invitational Saturday, Oct. 8.
