This was a defensive battle-type game. We struggled a little from the service line since this was our fourth match in five days. We did a good job of making some adjustments in our defense and it is really hard to hit around our blockers. I thought the kids held their composure very well in this match [as] they were a little mentally and physically exhausted after our long weekend. I was proud of their ability to stay in the match and get the points when we needed them.

We had talked about this match during the week and how we wanted to redeem ourselves from last season when we went into Scobey and lost in three bad. We were focused from the start. Our passing was very good in this match. In two of our serve receive patterns, we are really looking to clean up the mistakes and be able to attack right off the serve for a kill. This is something we will continue to work till we find the formation that really fits us.

This week we travel to Harlem on Thursday, Sept. 22, for a 5 p.m. game and go to Lustre on Saturday, Sept. 24, for another 5 p.m. match.
