For the week of Aug. 8 through 14, there were 38 motor vehicle stops, four reports of missing/loose dogs, five reports of loose livestock, two reports of barking dogs and one report of a VIN inspection request.

For the week of Aug. 15 through 21, there were 21 motor vehicle stops, six reports of loose livestock, one report of loose goats and two VIN inspection requests.

For the week of Aug. 22 through 28, there were 19 motor vehicle stops, five reports of loose/lost dogs, two VIN inspection requests and two reports of loose livestock.

Sunday, Aug. 7

0053 – Reporting party stated they heard what they thought was a tire blowing out but then heard another sound a few seconds later and now thinks it could have been a gunshot. The officer stated he heard fireworks at that time but will investigate.

0301 – Reporting party stated they heard a woman crying and a man yelling once in a while. It was determined to be some people at a campfire. Everything is okay and they were advised to keep it down.

Monday, Aug. 8

1055 – Two people in a blue truck with a silver box in the back are reported by the caller to be shooting what he believes are gophers. He says they have been driving around on the dike and shooting. It was determined it was city workers who have permission to be there.

1149 – Reporting party called and wanted to know if anyone reported a fire north of Frazer. He stated there is a fire five miles north of Frazer on the Frazer Richland Road. He also stated there are a couple of farmers headed that way with water trucks. Nashua fire was paged out and the Nashua Fire Chief was called. At 1215, caller reported the farmers have the fire cleared and and in mop up. No need for the fire department to respond.

1228 – Caller from a local office called and stated there is a white Ford that has been parked out front horizontally instead of vertically as the they should be. A plate number was provided. At 1256, officer advised the vehicle is no longer parked at the location.

1300 – Reporting party called to state there was a camper trying to back out from the underpass.

1714 – Deputy requested dispatch let a city officer know there's a vehicle broken down on US 2.

2152 – Caller reported she hit a black calf. She is not injured and the calf ran off mooing somewhere. She also stated there is no damage to their vehicle.

2309 – Deputy advised the vehicle hit a deer. There is less than $1,000 damage to the vehicle and he is going to locate the deer. At 2310, it was reported the deer will be moved to the south side of the road. DOT was contacted.

Tuesday, Aug. 9

0731 – Reporting party called stating there is a subject who hit a deer. The deer was slung up and onto her side of the highway, she then hit the deer. She has damage to her vehicle and both vehicles are off the road. She is on the north side of the highway and the other vehicle is on the south side of the highway. MT DOT was notified. A tow was arranged for both vehicles.

0909 – FG advised he just put a deer down. He stated it is about 250 yards before the intersection on the west side of the intersection on the north side of the road. He stated he has a trailer on the vehicle and is not able to pick up the deer. Asked if MDOT would be notified. MDOT stated they will go through there an dpick it up.

0928 – Reporting party called stating they were leaving the Pines campground, turned on to the Pines Rd. and a truck pulling a side dump passed them doing about 60 mph. She did not get a license plate.

1545 – Reporting party called advising she has been involved in a minor fender bender, no injuries. Both vehicles moved to the Albertson's parking lot.

1733 – Caller reported two neglected dogs. She said the dogs are skin and bones and have flies and bite marks all over them. She said the dogs didn't have any food or water so she gave them some. She provided a name of who she thought owned the dogs.

1728 – Caller reported a vehicle parked near by a hydrant. He told them to move the car and said they gave him attitude. He said they moved the car into their own driveway. The reporting party said he'll be waiting to talk to an officer.

1830 – Caller reported a navy blue pickup that is all over the road and almost caused three head-ons. She has been following the vehicle from Fort Peck. She said the pickup is pulling a trailer. The vehicle was stopped later on and there was no sign of impairment. It was a transport company that said he was in the middle of the road at times to keep the camper safe as the roads were terrible.

1856 – Caller reported a black car went through their drive thru at 1827 hours. The driver was drinking a Bush Lite.

Wednesday, Aug. 10

1121 – Caller requested an officer to remind an individual that it is two hour parking in front of the businesses across from the Depot. She stated there are 11 people who do hair on that street and all the little old ladies have to park a ways because of a couple of vehicles that are parked right on the street all day every day. She provided a description of the vehicles.

2202 – Caller reported a possible drunk driver in an older car with MT license plates driving back and forth to 6th Ave. Bridge. She stated the vehicle almost hit and her boyfriend once. She would be willing to sign a witness statement as to what she has seen.

Thursday, Aug. 11

0806 – Reporting party called stating there is a big tree that fell down and is blocking all of Ball Road. County Road Dept. was contacted and he knew about it.

1353 – PCSO dispatcher called to let Dispatch know about a drive off. A description of the vehicle was provided. FG advised he just saw the vehicle heading east. The vehicle was caught up to and payment was made.

1535 – Caller reported a rattlesnake in her driveway. It is in a trash can at the moment. Fish and Game was contacted who stated they are over an hour away and to have an officer kill it. At 1553, officer advised the rattlesnake has been dispatched.

Friday, Aug. 12

1041 – Reporting party called stating there is a guy laying on the north side of the highway. There is also a bike laying there. He has no shirt on and has his arm over his eyes. She doesn't know if he is hurt or just resting.

1108 – RCSO advised they have received a call of a male subject with a bike laying down at MM 574 alone US Highway 2. She stated the person who called it in was not able to assist the person due to him having a bike. The male subject told the caller that he was looking to get to any town, he didn't care which one. The caller gave the subject an orange, a banana and a bottle of water. RCSO asked if a deputy was available in the area who could assist the subject. The deputy was busy on another call. Tribal officer was contacted to respond.

1544 – Caller reported that something smells like acetone or nail polish remover in the entryway of the apartment building. She opened her windows. At 1733, an officer told the other parties involved to be more mindful where they paint.

1719 – Caller said they're going to have a meeting at St. Marie at 6 p.m. She wanted to know if an officer would be on scene for the meeting. She said there was a big blow up last night involving a couple of individuals. She said they may have more problems tonight.

1845 – Caller requested an officer for a fender bender. No injuries.

1852 – Caller requested an officer. He said his girlfriend backed into a vehicle.

Saturday, Aug. 13

0150 – Tribal Security would like someone to respond with him to check the Catholic Church. It is open now and wasn't an hour ago. It was determined the building was clear and will put the baling wire back on the door handles.

0531 – Reporting party stated he hit a deer and she is still alive int eh ditch. There is no damage to the vehicle. The deer was dispatched to the south side of the road between the Gateway and Galpin Road. MDT local office was also notified.

1013 – PCSO passed on information of a drive off from the gas station approximately 15 minute ago east bound. A description of the driver and vehicle was provided. Information was passed along.

1520 – Caller stated that one of his driver's headed to the Grainary, came upon a bicyclist with a jeep traveling behind them. There is concern that it can't be seen clearly. Spoke to a deputy who was going to check this out but speaking to MHP, he stated he saw the vehicle earlier and it did have flashers on.

1522 – Reporting party called in and reported her neighbor was at home and his door was not locked. The neighbor entered his apartment and took a pack of cigarettes from his fridge before leaving again. The caller also stated she is missing pills from her apartment. The suspect was identified.

1716 – Caller wants to speak to an officer about a phone he found in his neighborhood. He says it's isn't pressing but there is something about what he saw on the phone that is disturbing to him. Information was passed along to an officer.

1951 – Officer is out with a semi parked in the middle of the road. The driver was contacted and he will move the semi.

Sunday, Aug. 14

0457 – Caller reported a car on the river bank on fire. Didn't see anyone around, and unsure if anyone is inside. There are skid marks. He has his fire fighting gear and will try to get some water on it. Paged and called Nashua FD, and left message for Frazer FC.

0701 – Male reported at 0630 that a contractor working on a nearby building was pulling stuff out of the trailer, music blaring and spraying some chemicals on the ground. He would like to talk to an officer.

Monday, Aug. 15

1225 – A credit card was stolen locally and used. An estimated $1,135 was used at the time.

1246 – Caller wanted to report a child between the age of 9 and 12 that rides their bike around the entrance of St. Marie. She has noticed he crosses the highway and rides on the shoulder. He isn't doing anything wrong but said she and a few friends are concerned about the safety of the child with large trucks driving in the area.

1843 – Caller reported a two motor vehicle accident. There are no injuries and they have exchanged information. The reporting party stated the other party left to take stuff to the dump before it closes and will be back.

2038 – RCSO stated there is a fight between a male and a female. It was stated the tribal officer is currently dealing with an assault somewhere else so no one is available. At 2024, RCSO called to cancel the call as the reporting party called RCSO to cancel. It was determined the fight was verbal and the deputy is still enroute to the call.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

0705 – Reporting party called in a fire alongside the highway, just to the west of MM 545. At 0715, it was advised the fire appears to be mostly out.

0906 – Reporting party called advising he just rolled his work truck. He doesn't think he is hurt but he is stuck in the truck.

2049 – Caller reported she struck a deer. She wasn't sure of where they were except they were between Hinsdale and Saco on US Highway 2. While trying to determine their location, the caller passed the phone to the passenger who stated the airbags went off when they hit the deer. There is damage to the front left side of the car, and the only injury was bleeding from a scab on her leg and an “air bag burn” from when they deployed. The original caller has no injuries. Vehicle description and license plate number was provided.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

1650 – Tire Debris was located on the road. MT DOT was notified about the tire debris.

1736 – LRFD stated she received a call from Culbertson's FC requesting mutual aid. Advised they need two grass rigs for a large grass fire and when they go 10 miles north they should be able to see the fire.

Thursday, Aug. 18

0843 – Caller reported an abandoned vehicle. She said it's a red car and it's been there for a few days. It is parked by the curb but it's in a bad spot. At 0845, an officer advised he is familiar with the vehicle and it is not in a bad spot.

1441 – Reporting party called stating he hit a fence by the alley of 10th St. S. He was trying to turn into the alley and there was a truck in the way so when he made the turn he hit the fence. He is at home now with no injuries. At 1516, an officer advised one citation was given for insurance and the homeowners won't be back until next weekend.

1558 – Deputy advised there was an RV trying to back out of the underpass and a vehicle struck him.

1600 – Caller reported a newer suburban was going toward Fort Peck. He was going so far he could hardly keep the vehicle in his lane. The vehicle had 14 county plates and the caller is willing to sign a complaint.

1829 – Caller requested a deputy to look at damages to a rental unit. The refrigerator door is torn off, an $1,000 piece of equipment, and there are holes in the wall and lots of garbage. A deputy advised he spoke with the caller and informed him it's a civil matter.

2336 – Officer is out with a Tahoe – it was determined it was just a couple looking at the Northern Lights

Friday, Aug. 19

1247 – MCSO called stating they have a stolen vehicle heading the way. It is an older pickup with AB plates. At 1245, MCSO dispatch called advising to cancel as the subject brought the truck back.

1431 – Reporting party reported a black Jeep on the side of the road. No lights on with unknown problems. The vehicle is off the road and not a hazard. At 1543, deputy stated a wrecker was there to tow the vehicle and he was going to provide traffic control while they hook up.

1553 – Reporting party called and said he'd lost his ID somewhere and asked if anyone had turned it in. No one had turned in his ID to dispatch and the reporting party was advised if it was turned in, they would call.

1552 – A female came in wanting to know if there is a warrant for her arrest. She said she got a call from Amazon. The caller told her there had been fraudulent purchases on her account and then transferred her to Wells Fargo Bank. The person then transferred her to an entity in Washington, D.C. She said the male who got on the phone had an accent, she got suspicious then. Although she looked at her account and there were no transactions that she could see, they showed her a copy of her driver's license. She gave them her full name and date of birth. She was advised to hang up the phone and block the number and not take any calls from numbers she wasn't' familiar with. She was also advised to contact her bank and let them know as well as any credit cards she has to get a hold of those companies.

1838 – Reporting party reported they had a drive-off. She did not give the amount but provided the plate and described the vehicle. At 1841, an officer advised he was not able to locate the vehicle.

2019 – Reporting party called to make sure fire risk was low and to let dispatch know they are lighting the fire pit at the house they are staying at. They have a water house nearby, just in case.

2030 – Reporting party reported a white male, 40s, 5'10”, no facial hair, wearing a dark blue shirt and black pants tried to get her daughter into his older black pickup by telling her he is her uncle. She ran into the house and told her mother. At 2033, an officer is out looking for the pick and the man while another officer is going ot the reporting person's address.

2117 – Per officer, reporting party told him he encountered a male that claimed to be a white supremacist with gang affiliations and that he pulled a gun on someone in the business.

Saturday, Aug. 20

1041 – Reporting party called and stated that someone broke into a house they are taking care of behind the school. His TV and a bike is missing. The bike is registered from the Bike Shop in Wolf Point. They would like an officer to come talk to them.

1049 – Caller reported someone had driven through the yard and wanted to speak to an officer. He stated that they know who did it and would like to have this looked into more. They are getting ready to head back to the main place of residence soon. Information was provided to an officer. The call is associated to a call from a few days ago.

Monday, Aug. 22

1426 – Caller reported six to 10 spot fires along Highway 2 about three to four miles east of Hinsdale. He said they are getting big and moving fast so the fire department better hurry. The first department was paged both via text and audio.

1435 – Received a 911 call from a male who stated there is a large grass fire in the barrow pit. He was told the first department was notified as it was related to the call from above. At 1500, Hinsdale Fire Chief called and stated they are in mop up. He asked if anyone else was responding and he was told Long Run Fire. He then stated they could turn around. At 1535, it was advised they will remain on scene a while longer.

1738 – Caller reported he got hacked where the person too money from his bank accounts and he lost access to his instant messaging. His wife also lost access to her Instagram and they took it over, changing her username. The party called the bank to shut off further access to his accounts and was seeing if he can get his money back. The caller also received messages from the person who hacked him.

2110 – Caller reported a blue four door pickup with 11-county license plats heading past with no tail lights on, however when the driver hit the brakes, the brake lights do come on. Notified Phillips County and they will let their officers know.

2135 – Caller reported she hit something in the road and now she has a flat tire. She is at the rest stop and the description of the vehicle was provided. She mentioned she hit a deer a week ago, and mentioned having a crack where the headlights are, but it was not clear if the damage to the headlights happened that night or when she previously hit the deer.

Tuesday, Aug. 23

0621 – Caller stated she hit a deer and is on her way to work. She was no injured and the deer is in the middle of the road. It was advised a deputy would call her. A wrecker is needed to get the car off the highway and her sister will drive her to work.

1400 – Caller advised a female driver almost hit him. She was at the stop sign and a plate number was provided.

2001 – Caller reported there is a young guy who keeps getting in his vehicle on and off throughout the day while also revving his vehicle. For the past hour he has done it three times. The caller was wondering if it would be okay if she could go over and speak with the guy. It was advised an officer and have them call her. At 2004, officer advised he spoke with the reporting party.

Wednesday, Aug. 24

1607 – Caller said he received a call from PayPal and the caller ID showed that the call was a potential scam. They left a message stating that $349.99 was charged to his PayPal account and requested that he call the number provided. The reporting party stated they don't have an account with PayPal. He's been trying to call them back but they don't answer. The caller was advised it was most likely a scam.

1710 – The caller reported there's a porcupine I the lot next door to him. At 1735, it was reported the porcupine was dispatched.

1855 – Caller reported a theft from in front of her store. Two witnesses saw a woman with a disgusted look on her face take off with the flag. One witness identified her. The reporting party is not at the shop right now but can be reached.

2145 – Roosevelt County Sheriff's office asked if any of the deputies were available. She advised a female reported large chunks of tire on the highway. There are two hitchhikers who almost got struck when a car swerved to avoid the pieces. They stated all of their officers are currently heading to Poplar with arrestees so they had no one available.

2201 – Local bartender said they have a man there that wants to know where he can set up a tent. The man is on foot and wanted to know if an officer could stop by and talk with him.

Thursday, Aug. 25

1011 – Reporting party called in a black Dodge that has a flat tire and has been parked for at least a month.

1838 – RCSO stated they received a report from a female who reported she is following a semi truck, no trailer and it keeps swerving and almost hit the ditch several times.

2018 – Caller reported a drunk driver. He stated the male pulled into the yard going about 50 MPH, drunk and aggrivated.

2258 – It was reported hazard was removed from the road. Local MT DOT office was notified and a message was left.

Friday, Aug. 26

0143 – A suspicious vehicle was reported. The vehicle had been running for quite a while.

1040 – Reporting party with business Loss Prevention Unit would like an officer at the store to assist in a theft. She stated they have an employee who admitted to stealing $1,100. At 1115, Officer advised he is taking the male to the GPD for an interview.

1115 – Received a call from a female who reported the fire at MM 16. She stated it is a small fire right now and is in the ditch right next to the highway.
