For the week of July 25 through 31, there were 26 motor vehicle stops, three reports of loose dogs, six reports of loose livestock, one report of a barking dog and two VIN inspection requests.

For the week of Aug. 1 through 7, there were 43 motor vehicle stops, four reports of loose livestock, three reports of loose dogs and two reports of missing dogs.

For the week of Aug. 8 through 14, there were 38 motor vehicle stops, four reports of missing/loose dogs, five reports of loose livestock, two reports of barking dogs and one report of a VIN inspection request.

Wednesday, July 27

1243 – Reporting party called stating there is a fire at St. Marie in the same location as the other day. The caller stated it is not big now but is spreading fast. Long Run Fire stated they have units going soon. At 1319, St. Marie Fire Chief requested an ambulance for smoke inhalation. At 1649, St Marie Fire advised they are clear of the scene and land has been turned over to landowner.

1311 – Called stated they had been in a motor vehicle accident. There are no injuries. It was advised the water truck that hit the vehicle is helping to fight a fire so doesn’t have the information yet.

1327 – Caller stated she believes there is a stolen bike leaning against a garage. A description of the bike was provided.

2149 – Roosevelt 911 advised their security guard reported lights on and the doors open at an address. She stated the security guard isn’t allowed to check the building and wanted to know if our officers could check on it because she only has one officer on duty. At 2231, deputy advised he spoke to a neighbor who said the resident’s vehicle has been missing for a couple of weeks and the garage has been open the entire time. At 2227, the house is secure and there is a 8” to 10” opening at the garage and the lights are on inside the garage. It’s stated it’s possible someone may have slipped inside the garage but they’re not going in there. Roosevelt 911 was notified.

Thursday, July 28

0308 – RCSO stated a tribal security officer reported a trespasser. A deputy was notified. At 0321, RCSO Dispatch said the tribal security officer had received a note from the homeowner that they were going to be gone for quite a while and there isn’t supposed to be anyone there. Dispatch asked about weapons and the caller stated the Tribal Security Officer didn’t go inside and verify who was there nor did he speak to anyone. He was just told to report it, if he saw someone there. He reported a car in the driveway and people inside the house. AT 0347, deputy advised he was able to speak with the homeowner’s mother and she confirmed the people there were watching the house for the homeowner.

1316 – A parking violation was recorded. An officer spoke to the driver. He moved the vehicle and trailer.

1729 – Caller requested an officer to go with her to a residence so she can get some of her things. She said she’s currently staying at a different location. She was patched up with an officer.

Friday, July 29

0351 – Officer saw a blue Ford parked behind a late 90s Chevy Pickup on 1st Ave S. The pickup was parked diagonally across a driveway entrance and the driver was walking around the vehicle.

0814 – A parking violation was reported. The truck driver was spoken to and he is moving the semi.

0853 – Male called in stating he almost got hit on his bike this morning by a gray pickup. The pick up was going north and had a stop sign they didn’t stop for. The caller is up at the GPD office but is leaving and going back to his residence now. He would like an officer to call him.

1112 – Caller advised they have a fire. They have tried to get it out but it is spreading too fast. At 1131, a deputy advised there is a BN train out there so will let them know about this fire and is also going to stage at the tracks to let the other units know where to go to the fire.

1336 – Caller advised there is a pickup with a black dump trailer at the location. He states the trailer has a flat fire, the flashers are on but it’s been there fore awhile now. The trailer is sticking out into traffic. It was determined tires are being worked on to get replaced on the trailer.

1750 – Caller wanted to make a complaint about boats that are creating giant waves by the bridge and where people fish. She said there’s a wake area there. She also mentioned a white boat and gave them the name of the party she believes owns the boat. At 1810, deputy advised he spoke to both parties and is turning it over to Fish and Game.

1821 – Caller reported a silver Outback Legacy with Arizona plates that headed southbound in the northbound lane of Hwy 24 by MM 8. The vehicle is trying to pass when cars are coming and was also tailgating them. She is willing to sign a complaint.

1929 – Phillips County SO advised that a gray Dodge Durango was speeding eastbound on US Highway 2. At the time of the call, they were at MM 482 but PCSO deputy was unable to catch them to make a traffic stop. At 1938, Phillips County Deputy called and clarified the description of the vehicle. He clocked them at over 100 MPH and lost them at Sleeping Buffalo. Officers were updated and at 2015, it was reported the vehicle was located, a licensed driver took over and the driver, whose license is suspended is bring brought int.

1938 – Officer is out with a white Toyota with Utah plate.

2152 – Caller called on the non-recorded line to report that he hit a deer about 8 miles east of Glasgow along US 2. He didn’t get a mile marker. He has a lot of damage to the vehicle but there are no injuries. He’s not sure if the deer is dead but believes it may be. Officer was patched up with the caller.

2205 – A public assist call was recorded. Per deputy she had stopped to feed her kids.

Saturday, July 30

1539 – Caller reported his son was taking a load to the dump in Tampico and the area that was previously on fire is starting back up. He stated he saw flames. At 1547, deputy advised he is in the area and only sees a couple of hot spots but not an active fire at this time.

1608 – Received multiple 911 calls concerning fire along the road. McCone County called in requesting mutual aid for the fires and stated they have their own fire department responding. Fort Peck Fire was also paged out. At 1633, McCone County had called back and requested if possible to get a deputy to head in the direction of the fire to see if they could spot a reason for the fires. At 1659, deputy advised he spoke with the McCone County deputy and he will be assisting with traffic control for a while as they attempt to gain control of the fires.

1625 – A public assist call was recorded. The deputy will be moving the vehicle to the side of the road until a licensed driver can pick up. The individual’s mother will be giving a ride.

1717 – Called stated he believed there was a domestic going on. He and several people witnessed a female get out of the front passenger side of the car and open the back door. The car was pulling away. The caller stated the female ran after the car, tripped and went under the back tire. A description of the vehicle was provided. At 1738, the reporting party stated when he called in that several people were at the location and witnessed the couple fighting. The girl stated she was fine but it is believed there was an argument. An officer was able to make contact with the female.

1842 – Reporting party called in and stated the dogs that were aggressive are back at her house. A second party later called and stated a dog had just tried to attack a child. When asked where this happened, she yelled at the original reporting party to find out the address. The caller was informed dispatch was working on getting officers to the original caller but they were busy currently. The caller got upset and stated they have pistols up there and will handle it themselves. At 1930, a deputy advised the owner of the dogs is not home and will hang around there until they do get home.

Sunday, July 31

0007 – Caller reported his parents and siblings were taking the Plentywood route back from Williston. They don’t usually go that way. The left between 1800-1900 and are not home yet. He has texted them and is not getting a response. A description fo the vehicle was provided. At 0016, reporting party stated he made contact and they are about 10 minutes out.

0032 – A parking violation was reported. Per an officer there was a note on the vehicle that they ran out of gas.

0110 – Deputy received messages from someone that there is something going on at Northern Lights Casino. Deputy advised he drove by there earlier and there was nothing going on.

Monday, Aug. 1

1240 – The reporting party called in on the 911 line to report a semi attempting to go under the underpass and thinks it might be stuck. At 1242, an officer advised the underpass is clear,

1338 – Caller wanted to know if there was someone that could help her with putting car seats that they borrowed while in town into the vehicle. She has attempted and is not having any luck.

1537 – Caller reported a grass fire south of Glentana on the Glentana North Road. He requested Richland and Opheim Fire be paged. At 1623, Opheim Fire called and stated the fire is out.

1949 – Valley View Home reported they will be doing a fire drill and if a call is received from the alarm company to disregard. At 2007, Valley View Home called to state they’re done with their fire drill.

2011 – Caller reported a drive of of $60.02. The vehicle was a brand new truck and there are no plates on the back but they did get a picture of the person. At 2030, an officer advised the description of the vehicle and it looked like it was heading out of town. At 2040, the officer was unable to locate the vehicle but will keep an eye out for it. Also let Phillips County know about the drive off.

2210 – Caller reported a break in that may have taken place over the weekend while she was gone. She stated that no one is there but the front window and basement window is broke. There is no other damage or anything seems to be missing.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

0814 – Reporting party called stating they have a white pickup that has been parked there since yesterday. No one knows whose truck it is but would like an officer to come take a look at it. At 0849, officer advised he spoke to the reporting party and gave him the information on the registered owner of the vehicle.

1232 – Reporting party called in stating she wanted to report a hit and run that occurred last Friday. Her husband’s vehicle was hit on the passenger’s side behind the rear wheel, and she just discovered it today.

1613 – Reporting party called in a brush fire. Long Run Fire and Richland Fire were notified.

1935 – Caller reported a malnourished dog. He said a male noticed him looking at the dog and confronted him about it. He believes the dog possibly belongs to that male and doesn’t believe the dog is getting fed. A description of the dog was provided as well as the house.

1941 – Reporting party called in a noise complaint of loud music. He believes the music is coming from the apartments on 2nd Ave. S. At 1950, after doing a walking patrol with around the area with two officers, they did not hear anything coming from the apartments. Efforts to contact the reporting party were made with no answer.

2208 – Reporting party called and said her vehicle is in a ditch. She is not injured. It was determined she ended up I the ditch because she was avoiding a deer. The car is driveable and deputy will be contact with her tomorrow. The party stated she did hit a “Do Not Pass” sign, which scraped up the top of her vehicle but the deputy finds no evidence of that.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

0756 – Reporting party called stating in front of the Holiday Store where they have been working on the Highway, the hole that is there is very hard on vehicles. She had slowed down to 15 MPH and it still was very hard on her vehicle. MT DOT was called.

0921 – Party called and stated he is broke down and his phone is just about dead. A description of the vehicle was provided. He believes it may be an electrical problem. At 1029, it was advised the tow has the vehicle.

0946 – Caller with MT DOT requested an officer to help with traffic control at the location. He states they are working by the bridge and people are just blowing right by them. They are trying to slow them down but are not having much luck.

1059 – Caller reported three rocks about the size of his head is laying in the underpass. MT DOT was called and it was stated they are all out doing a patch job by Hinsdale and asked if could get someone to go over and put the rocks off the side of the road. An officer advised at 1108 he moved them off to the side of the road.

1113 – Caller reported an RV is stuck in the underpass. At 1119, officer advised the RV made it out.

1457 – Reporting party stated there is a fire east of MT Hwy 117. A call then was received from a male who said his dad was out swathing and has started a fire. Fort Peck Fire was notified as well as Nashua Fire. At 1528, advised they are in mop up now and they have one bale they will need to work on.

1500 – Officer reported was removing some rocks from the highway.

1517 – Caller reported a possibly abandoned vehicle in the Reynolds Parking Lot by the Reynolds sign near US 2. The vehicle has been there about a week now and a description of the vehicle was provided.

2056 – Deputy reported she received a report from the Fairground Beer Gardens that a silver Ford hit a vehicle and took off. It was corrected the Ford was the vehicle that was hit, the suspect vehicle is a Buick. At 2100, it was advised for all units to disregard, as it was a misunderstanding.

2110 – Caller reported he struck a deer closest to Nashua. The car has lost coolant and the radiator blew. Someone else behind him pulled the deer off to the side of the highway. He stated he can tow the vehicle himself but wasn’t sure if an officer was needed out there for insurance purposes. At 2147, it was advised the vehicle is off of the road with hazard lights on.

2212 – Deputy advised that at Agland there’s a male drinking beer and pumping gas at the same time.

2315 – Officer advised he called the reporting party regarding a loose cat and explained there is no place to take a kitten or a cat.

Thursday, Aug. 4

0125 – Reporting party called and said there’s a group of teenagers making a lot of noise. She says she heard people yelling and crying and the teenagers are pushing each other around. At 0132, officer advised it is all quite now. Everybody seemed to have gotten to where they were going.

0224 – Reporting party called and said he gave a friend of a friend a ride home and on the way, the other male grabbed his steering wheel and caused the vehicle to crash into a mailbox. It is about a block from the reporting party’s mom’s home.

0812 – Male called in stating he wanted to file a complaint on an individual for violations. He states she is taking and selling things from his father’s estate. He stated he wants it to stop and the female lives at the estate. It was determined it was a civil issue.

0831 – Advised they are setting up the work zone now and it was advised a deputy would be patrolling the area after court was done.

0905 – District Court called in wanting an officer to assist as the defendant is getting agitated. She stated another deputy is there as well as the County Attorney. They have all gone into the judge’s chambers at this time.

0858 – Caller reported a silver truck that is swerving, sometimes driving on the wrong side of the road. She doesn’t know if they are just tired or what but thought an officer should check it out.

1230 – A suspicious vehicle was reported. It was stated Thompson and Sons will be coming to get this trailer later when they are done doing something else. At 1439, it was stated the trailer is loaded.

1424 – Caller reported a couple of transients out Tampico Rd about 2 miles from Glasgow. One is right there and the other is more toward the railroad tracks. The reporting party stated they don’t look like they are doing well. At 1453, a deputy had dropped off the female and the dog. She has money to get food and a drink.

1425 – Caller stated there is a dark blue pickup parked there since Memorial Day. It’s also parked on the wrong way on the street. At 1511, an officer made contact with the owner.

1533 – Caller reported that someone drove through his auto car wash with the arms in front of them. He is at home now and it was advised an officer would be in contact.

1606 – Officer is out with a small blue car that looks like it just rolled to a stop. It was advised the male was sleeping.

1732 – Caller reported a possible grain field fire. He said that he could see smoldering but no flames. It was determined to be how the rain was coming down.

1802 – Caller reported about a four inch drop in the street. The reporting party was wondering if it could be taped off or something so others can avoid the drop in the street.

1805 – Caller reported there’s a new blue and black car backed up to the dumpster in the Nashua dump. There are two women in the dumpster with butcher knives and they are cutting open trash bags and filling tote bags with stuff. He heard the women make the comment that “this is better than the Frazer dump.” He got out of there because he didn’t know if they would do something to his property. A description of the women were provided.

1813 – Officer advised was picking up a paint bucket in the middle of the roadway.

1854 – Caller reported there appears to be a fire north of Glentana possibly on the North Bench Road. She can see smoke but no flames. At 1854, reporting party called back and said the rain put the fire out so can cancel the fire trucks. Advised Richland Fire and he stated that he sent someone out and they said the same. A message was left for Opheim Fire.

2129 – Caller reported two bums who have made themselves at home and spread their stuff all over the bay. She said earlier today she told them to leave and when she did one of their two big dogs came at her. When she went by this evening they were still there but had moved to a different bay. She has a young kid leaning later after the fair but isn’t sending the kid over until the two individuals have left. At 2137, officer advised no one was at the car wash.

2203 – Store employee reported a young person came in, grabbed a 30-pack of Bush Lite and ran out the door. She said he went up the stairs behind Ezzie’s but doesn’t believe he’s still there. A description of the male was provided.

2303 – People are parked at Sullivan Park and were told not to park there.

2332 – There is a tree down and blocking half of the roadway. A message was left for the County Road Department.
