Calendar of Upcoming Events in the Area

The Valley County Pioneer Museum hours through September are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fort Peck Interpretive Center will be open Friday through Monday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. through Sept. 5. They will also have weekend activities for youth. Call 406-526-3493, for more information, or see their Facebook page – USACEFortPeck.

Wednesday Aug. 10

1-4 p.m. - Veteran Service Officers will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic. Please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214).

Thursday, Aug. 11

11:30 a.m. - Congregate meals at the Glasgow Senior Center with a recommended donation of $6. The meal served is sweet and sour chicken, stir fried veggies, brown rice, and watermelon. Call the Senior Center, 228-9500, before 9 a.m. to reserve your spot.

Friday, Aug. 12

8 a.m. - Registration begins for the 8th Annual Paint Run/Walk at the Glasgow Civic Center. The race will begin at 9 a.m.

11:30 a.m. - Congregate meals at the Glasgow Senior Center with a recommended donation of $6. The meal served is tuna noodle casserole, chips, applesauce,and bun. Call the Senior Center, 228-9500, before 9 a.m. to reserve your spot.

Noon – Potluck at the Nashua Senior Citizens followed by meeting.

7 p.m. - Swimming Under The Stars Fundraiser at the Glasgow Pool. BBQ at Hoyt Park following by a movie at 8:30 p.m. in Glasgow Municipal Pool. Join us in watching Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

8:30 – 9:30 p.m. – The Fort Peck Interpretive Center is hosting a full moon hike. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring your own flashlight or bug spray if needed. We will meet at the front of the Interpretive Center.

Saturday, Aug. 13

Colbrese Cup Memorial Golf Scamble

10– 11:30 a.m. – Tess Fahlgren will lead an introduction to nature journaling workshop at the Fort Peck Interpretive Center. All journal materials will be provided. This event will include a walk on the Downstream Nature Trail. Please come prepared with appropriate footwear, water, and sun protection. This event is open to anyone over age 12.

Tuesday Aug. 16

11:30 a.m. - Congregate meals at the Glasgow Senior Center with a recommended donation of $6. The meal served is egg roll in a bowl, fruit cocktail, and peanut butter cookie. Call the Senior Center, 228-9500, before 9 a.m. to reserve your spot.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

1 p.m. - Foot Care at the Nashua Senior Citizens.

5 – 8 p.m. - Alive at Five at Markle’s Warehouse Furniture and Appliance 702 1st Ave. S. Join us for music with Chisholm Christensen!

Thursday Aug. 18

11 a.m.- Nashua Senior Citizens Garden Tours 2022

Allen & Rita’s Heart Garden, Dave & Jane’s Garden, Marilyn Stein’s Garden 

Meeting at Rita Bunk’s (located at 312 Hobart Street in Nashua).

A lite lunch will be served after Tours at the Nashua Senior Center. A free will offering will be accepted.
