Margery Ann Sandvig Rundle Crawford Porter Webber

“I’m the last of the full-blooded Norwegians in my family.”

Margery Ann Sandvig Rundle Crawford Porter Webber, born Feb. 1, 1926, to Helen and Carl Sandvig on the farm in Baylor, Mont., along with four sisters ---Maude, Frances, Winnie, and Betty Lou--- passed away at 96 years of age (from unresolved pain and suffering) in Missoula’s St. Patrick Hospital and finally found peace Friday, July 8, 2022.

Graduating from Glasgow High School, she married Robert Paul Rundle in 1943, raising seven children in Glasgow, Mont. She was a domestic engineer and caregiver her entire life: Robert died in 1974; she cared for her mother who died at 95 years old; she married Ed in 1980 and he died in 1991; she married Max in 1993 and he died in 2010; and married Chuck in 2012 and he passed away in 2022 at 100 years of age. Each of these unions brought the family together in support and involvement as a whole.

Accolades to her for riding a bike to care for her mother, and, also taking First Place (in her age group

:0) in a running race! Reading, crossword puzzles, tending flowers and dancing were her pleasures. She possessed a great imagination, a way of resolving enigmas and coming up with workable, creative solutions. Prodding her to relate family stories in book form would surely have led to a “New York Times Bestseller!” Apple pies, hot cinnamon rolls, and thirteen loaves of homemade bread every week, “Aah, the aroma!” She was a Sunday School teacher, a Cub Scout leader, belonged to the altruistic Women’s Circle in the church, played bridge, and the last few years also played a daily game of Cribbage. Time away from home was enjoyed during the summers at Swan Lake, Mont., and in later years the winter months found her in Arizona.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters; and son Robert “Skip” Rundle.

Her survivors include her children: Sandy (Paul) Fortmann, (Marie, Skip’s wife), Steve (Tina) Rundle, Doug (Pennie) Rundle, Crai (Deb) Rundle, Janeen (Mick) Rundle and Scott Rundle; grandchildren Brian (Monique) and Keith (Melissa) Fortmann, (also, mother Marcia of---) Mike, Jacquelyn (Dennis), Heidi, and Mitch Rundle, Toby (Sarah) Rundle, Justin (Jessica) and Ryan Rundle, Troy Rundle, and Bo Rundle; great-grandchildren: Jarod and Jasmine, James and Brooklyn, Morgan and Dawsyn, Miles and Ella Jane, William, Roland and Paisley. Extended family are Helen Squires, Carl and Gale Newton, Sid (Pat) Rice and children Jerry, Joan, Juanita and Jay, etc.!

A Celebration of her Life will be held for family and friends Aug. 6, 2022, at Swan Lake, Mont. She will be interred in the plot with our father in Glasgow.

Glasgow Deaconess Hospital was always her donation of choice. After a life well-lived, we will always cherish the guidance and the light she left behind.

(“Psss-t! Did I tell you, I’m the last of the full-blooded Norwegians in my family?”)
