Lustre Track

The Lustre Christian Lions boys track team earned 54 points and third place at the Whitewater Invitational April 21.

Jasiah Hambira, Elijah Lenihan, Cayden Klatt and Braden Ewing individually and collectively put points up for the Lions. As a team, Lenihan, Klatt, Ewing and Hambira ran the 4x400 in 4:25.94 for third place.

Hambira took fifth in the 100 meters with a personal record time of 12.17. Ewing took 12th with his best time, 12.58. Sean Uy ran the race in 13.44 and took 19th place while Klatt set a personal record of 13.78 and placed 21st. Naveen Pilla placed 33rd with his time of 16.20 seconds.

In the 200 meters, Hambira finished in second with a time of 24.51. Uy ran the race in 29.45, finishing in ninth place while Pilla took 15th place with a time of 35.28 seconds.

Lenihan placed fourth in the 110m hurdles with a personal record time of 23.40 and Klatt took third in the 300m hurdles with his time of 56.23 seconds.

Byron Ewing took 15th in shot put with a personal best toss of 26-10.00.

Clatt just missed the podium in the discus with a seventh place finish after a season record throw of 85-02. Uy placed 11th with a distance of 74-03 and Byron Ewing threw 62-00 for 19th place.

Uy led the Lions in the javelin with a 12th place finish and a throw of 89-07.

Hambira took second in the high jump, clearing 5-08 while Lenihan took fourth after jumping 5-02. Hambira took the top spot in the long jump with a season record jump of 19-04.25. Braden Ewing set a personal record with a distance of 18-01.75 and took sixth place. Lenihan's 16-11.00 personal record jump earned the junior 13th place. Byron Ewing jumped 15-00.00, a personal record, and took 23rd while Pilla took 34th with an 11-10.00 personal record jump.

Braden Ewing set a personal record and took third in the triple jump with a leap of 33-04.00 while Lenihan jumped 31-01.00 and took eighth place.

On the girls' side, Meredith Valentine set a personal record, 18.98, in the 100 meters and took 21st place. She took 19th in the shot put with a toss of 21-05.00.

Valentine placed 17th in discus with a throw of 54-10 and Sarah Dahl threw a personal best 43-04 for 19th place. Dahl took 28th place in the javelin with a throw of 45-09.

Valentine also took 18th in the long jump with a personal record leap of 8-01.00

The Lions will be in Glendive for the Elks Invitational Thursday, April 28, with events beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, they will be in Glasgow for the Whitewater/Saco Invitational, also beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, the annual Top Ten meet will be in Glasgow scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
