There were 63 motor vehicle stops, 12 accidental/prank phone calls and one report of loose livestock.

Monday, Feb. 21

1500 – A hazard was reported. The city road department was contacted and someone will go take care of the section of road.

1901 – Roosevelt 911 stated they received a report of a tree pile that’s smoldering behind the Frazer dump ground. Frazer and Nashua fire were called to confirm they received the page but didn’t get an answer. Long Run fire was also paged out. Nashua Fire responded back and stated they were en-route.

Tuesday, Feb. 22

1359 – The caller wants to have a person removed from the property as trespass if he comes as the person has come into the store before and started arguments. The person has a history of problems with the store supervisor and continues to try to start things while at the business. The person called at 1417 regarding his recent interaction with an employee at a local business. He stated the two individuals have known each other for a while and they have a personal issue in the past. The caller stated when he was in the store; the person caused issues with bringing up the past. Corporate has been contacted regarding the issue in the past.

2143 – Reporting party called and stated someone had broken her key off in the front door of the Manor. Dispatch offered the numbers of some locksmiths and the caller stated she hadn’t even called the manager yet. She was advised to call the manager and if a locksmith was needed, to call back.

Wednesday, Feb. 23

0100 – A reporting party called and reported he observed an older Dodge pickup speeding through the underpass and crossing the centerline into the oncoming lanes. The pickup tuned onto US Highway 2 eastbound and then turned left onto 5th St. N and fishtailed into the oncoming lane on 5th. The plate number was obstructed by dirt and the pickup was quite dirty. The vehicle was located and an officer gave the driver a ride home.

0940 – A female called stating she wanted a welfare check done on a male. They are very good friends and talked quite a bit but a few months ago she got COVID and got pretty sick so was not able to talk to hi. She has now been trying to get in touch with him and only gets a recorded message from someone that states to leave a message. Multiple messages have been left but she has not heard back from him. The wife of the male’s son was contacted, and the message will get passed along to the male to call the female back. The male did receive a new cell phone and hasn’t gotten the hang of it yet but he is fine.

1830 – A caller ran out of gas and has someone coming to help.

2204 – A hang-up 911 was received and when Dispatch called back, a male stated he had received a call from a number stating that he was making eyes at another guy’s wife and the conversation got heated, then the number called again. Dispatch notified the caller to talk to Nemont to get the number blocked and odds were it was someone that was trying to scam them.

Thursday, Feb. 24

1123- A female called in wanting to know if anyone had turned in a set of pickup and house keys on Tuesday. A description of the key chain was provided. She stated she had called all the places around town she had been but no one has found them. Dispatch advised they would pass it along and if anyone finds them she will be given a call.

1641 – A female called stating one of her bus drivers has hit a deer however the kids had already been dropped off and there are no injuries. She didn’t know a lot about any damages to the bus or anything. An officer gave her a call.

1934 – An officer advised he is assisting two young males with a gas container and will be giving them a ride to the Cottonwood.

1949 – An officer was out with a vehicle that had its trunk open.

2148 – A male reported someone hit his truck while at the basketball game at the school and damaged his driver’s side mirror.

2227 – An officer is out with a semi in in a no parking zone.

Friday, Feb. 25

1244 – A female called requesting an officer to the area as there is a suspicious male walking around by her house that does not look familiar to her. She also states he was staring at her and then when she was going to pull into her driveway, he appeared to be coming towards her. She also a car full of kids and didn’t want him around them. A description of the male was provided. At 1302, the officer reported they would continue to keep an eye out for the individual.
