Bringing Up Grades With the Kiwanis

The Glasgow Kiwanis Club presented BUG (Bring Up Grades) Certificates to 28 students at the Irle Elementary School recently. Ice cream with toppings was served to them by students from the Glasgow Middle School Builders Club. Charles Wilson and Lisa Koski represented the Kiwanis Club. Those students in the fourth grade who brought up their grades were Bethany Bras, Clair Britzman, Ava Budde, Myracle Henry, Addison Hughes, Quincy Iwen, Olivia Jackson, Harry Murphy, Rueby Nixdorf, Ryker Nixdorf, Lakelyn Olson, Riley Pattison, Walker Sugg and Baden White.

Those students in the fifth grade who brought up their grades were Allenah Emeline, Blake Estes, Cooper Gibson, Bryant Green, Natalee Hall, Rayne Jenkins, Jaxson Kemp, Weston Kirkland, Austin Merrigan, Amiya Ryan, Daniel Seiler-White, Trusten Stringer, Paxton Wesen and Alden Wixson.

Kiwanis International serves the children of the world. BUG Honor Roll is one of its programs to do this, honoring those students who improved their grades between the first and second quarters.

It has been two years since we have been able to do this in person. Last year we delivered ice cream bars and the certificates to the school, and then did the presentations by using Zoom.
