The Glasgow Scottie Speech and Drama team saw over half of their members make the finals at the State Meet in Huntley Project this past weekend and placed five in the top eight.
As a team, they placed fourth in Speech Sweeps.
Fynn Sukut made finals in Impromptu and finished in fourth place overall. Chase Tarum also earned a fourth place finish after making finals in Humorous Oral Interpretation. Gabe Proctor made finals in HOI as well and placed eighth overall.
Raelee Dowden and Samantha Combs advanced to the finals in Dramatic Oral Interpretation. Dowden placed sixth and Combs was seventh.
Mason Swenson lost out of finals after a tie breaker in Memorized Public Address and finished in ninth place overall. Connor Whitmer placed 14th in Spontaneous Oral Interpretation.
Harley Edwards was the team's alternate but did not compete at the tournament.
