Bantam Ice Dawgs Struggle in Opener

The Glasgow Bantam Ice Dawgs struggled in their opening weekend, dropping two games to the visiting Bozeman Icedogs. Glasgow lost 8-0 Saturday evening and 8-1 Sunday morning.

Glasgow goalie Jacob Potter was seldom left alone during the two games, facing 44 shots Saturday and 36 on Sunday. His teammates had 20 shots on goal in game one and 15 in game two.

Glasgow served time for four infractions in the first game while Bozeman was called for only one penalty. John Cornwell served time for roughing in the first period and Bode Barnett was called for hooking in the second. In the third period Brody Hansen and Charlie Cornwell both sat for roughing.

Sunday morning, J. Cornwell scored the only Glasgow goal, late in the third period on an assist from Tavin Boland.

Glasgow limited their penalties to two in the game with Boland serving time for roughing and Hansen serving time for cross checking in the first period.

The Bantams travel to Butte this weekend for games against the Copper City Kings on Saturday, Dec. 11.
