Lustre Christian Volleyball

The young Lustre Christian Lions volleyball team traveled to Hinsdale and Bainville last week for matches. Though the Lions played with heart they dropped both matches on the road.

They fell to the North Country Mavericks 25-11, 25-4, 25-12 on Friday in Hinsdale. As a team they had three kills, three blocks, two aces and 21 digs. Aubri Holzrichter led the team in kills with three. Grace Brown had two blocks. Alexa Redding led in aces, 2, and digs, 5.

The next night in Bainville the Lions lost 25-15, 25-12, 25-13. The team had two kills, five blocks, seven aces and 33 digs. Aubri Holzrichter and Grace Brown each had one kill. Brown had three blocks and three aces. Doven Birdsbill led the team in digs with eight.

The Lions traveled to Culbertson on Sept. 28. They will be in Lambert Saturday, Oct. 2, and will host Fairview on Tuesday, Oct. 5 for a 5:30 p.m. game.
