Myrick Signs with Scottsdale

Scottie softball star Davyn Myrick signed with Scottsdale Community College in Arizona to continue her sports career at the collegiate level on July 27. The 2021 Glasgow High School graduate will be playing corners and any other positions she can fill for the team.

"I chose Scottsdale because it was a great option and the coach really wanted the change the program and make it great again," Myrick said. "I was honored that she wanted me to be a part of that." Myrick, who has been playing softball since age 13 – and baseball before that – will be studying business in Scottsdale. She added, "I am looking forward to playing the sport I love and making new friends along the way."

As for being a Scottie, Myrick will miss the school song being played by the band. Her favorite memory of being a Glasgow Scottie was listening to all her teammates try to talk like Coach Brian Burleson. Myrick spend the past weekend playing in the VFW Veterans Memorial Tournament in Belgrade, a special event reserved for All-State Selections only.
