Dennis Greg Chandler, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, was received into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Dennis was born June 3, 1949 in Plentywood, MT. Dennis was the fourth child of Charles Fay and Violet (Cybulski) Chandler. He attended all his school years in Plentywood with the exception of his freshman year when he spent a year at the Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND. After graduating high school in 1967, Dennis spent one year studying at Gonzaga University before transferring to the University of Montana where he graduated in 1971 with a degree in accounting. Dennis began his accounting career in Glasgow, MT and was a longtime partner at the CHMS accounting firm. Throughout his career, he built strong relationships with his clients that developed into lifelong friendships. In 2000 he retired from the firm and went on to work in the financial department at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital. Dennis and Cleo eventually retired and moved back to Plentywood, MT.

On November 27, 1971, Dennis married his high school sweetheart Cleo Peterson. Dennis and Cleo established a home in Glasgow, MT and raised five children-Kimberli, Brian, Tami, Hennie, and Rhonda.

Dennis' greatest joy in life was his 13 grandchildren. He was happiest when he was surrounded by all of his children and grandchildren. He loved when everyone was home so he could cook for them; pizza and Grandpa's chicken were everyone's favorites. His grandchildren spent many hours playing in the three-story fort Grandpa Dennis built for them in the backyard.

Dennis had a gift for helping people. He never thought twice about offering his advice or lending a helping hand. Helping friends and family remodel was one of his favorite past times. He spent many hours on the golf course and passed down the love of golf to many of his kids and grandkids.

Dennis valued his Catholic faith. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Dennis had a love for the Lord that he openly shared with his family. He wanted to make sure that Jesus was a priority in his family's lives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fay and Violet Chandler; his brother Alan Chandler; father-in-law Ward Peterson; mother-in-law Marjorie Peterson; and his brother-in-law Bradley Peterson.

Dennis is survived by his wife Cleo of 50 years; his children Kim Shipp (Cam), Brian Chandler, Tami Wiens (Chris), Rhonda Voss (Kurt), and Hennie Vallie (John); his grandchildren Alexa and Trevor Shipp, Ty Chandler, Alex, Lizzi, and Griffin Wiens, Luke, Briel, and Brent Voss, Hannah and Gavin Black, and Isaiah and Jonah Vallie; siblings Fay Chandler, Ned Chandler, Mark Chandler, and MaryAnne Chandler.
