District 3-C basketball suffered a number of cancellations and postponements recently as a COVID-19 outbreak hit the hi-line. Dodson, Nashua, and Lustre did not have play last week.
Scobey traveled to Frazer on Jan. 26, where they won in both girls and boys games. In the girls game, Scobey/Opheim leapt out to a 35-6 lead in the first quarter. The visitors added 16 points in the second while holding the Bearcubs to four points for a 51-10 lead at half time. The Spartans scored seven in the third quarter and the Bearcubs had three. Frazer outscored Scobey/Opheim in the final quarter 4-3, for a final score of 61 to 17 for the Spartans win.
The Spartan boys has similar run of the court over the Bearcubs, winning 73 to 24. Scobey/Opheim took a 26-5 lead after the first eight minutes of play and carried a 36-13 lead into the half. The visitors did not let up after the break, putting up 29 points while holding Frazer to four. Scobey/Opheim outscored Frazer by a one-point margin in the final quarter, 8-7.
