PeeWee Ice Dawgs Win Battle Against Generals

The Glasgow PeeWee Ice Dawgs traveled to Miles City Dec. 12 to face off against the Generals in a rematch following their meeting in Glasgow. The young Dawgs dominated the game, skating away with a 9 to 1 win.

Brody Hansen struck first for Glasgow, netting a goal at 11:11 in the first. Miles City answered back a few a minutes later, scoring their lone goal of the game before Glasgow took over the show. Landon Honey added two more goals, with an assist from Halley Hunter on the second,for the Dawgs before the buzzer sounded.

The Ice Dawgs put up four more goals in the second period to take a 7-1 lead into intermission. Brock Ciarfardone found the back of the net with help from Honey and Gryffen Collins. Hunter scored on an assist from Hansen before he added his own goal. JP Cornwell put in goal number seven with an assist from Hansen.

Hunter took over in the third, putting in a short-handed goal and a power play goal, both unassisted, to lead the Ice Dawgs to their 9-1 victory. Jacob Potter saw 18 attempts on his net, turning away 17. Glasgow's offense put up 23 attempts on Miles City. Each team served five penalties in the game.

The PeeWees will travel to Flathead this weekend for a pair of games on Saturday, Dec. 19. The team will be on the ice at 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to take on the Fusion.
