Annual Nativity Display At Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints would like to invite the public to share with us a time for peace, tranquility and rejoicing in the birth of our Savior. An open house will be held the evenings of Wednesday, Dec. 2, through Friday, Dec. 4, to view nativity scenes from around the world.

First started in 2015 and becoming more successful each year, more than 200 sets were displayed last year. Included will be a hand-blown glass set from Italy, an olive wood scene from Israel, a hand-carved shell set from the Islands, ornaments from Africa, Spain and Peru. Some sets are from Germany, and Brazil and beautiful hand-painted ones from right here in Glasgow. Coming in a variety of sizes, colors and numbers of figures as well. There is even a room of special ones just for children. There will be an arts and crafts station for the children so they too can participate in the celebration of the birth of our Savior.

Anyone who might have one he or she would like to offer for the temporary display is also encouraged to participate. Simply bring them to the Chapel the evening of Dec. 1, between 6 and 8 p.m. Or if you would like, contact Shelley Romo, 228-4271, to make arrangements for them to be picked up.

The Open House will be held at the Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. each of the three evenings, Dec. 2 through 4. The address is 15 Airport Road with ample parking. Masks and social distancing are to be observed.
