Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Two Rivers Awards Grants Throughout Valley County

Two Rivers has done the Valley County Storefront Beautification Grant program the last two years and has again successfully awarded four Valley County storefronts money. We have been so pleased with the final projects and applicants each year. It is a one-to-one match with awards up to $1,000 per applicant. Projects are awarded based upon criteria within the grant that follows guidelines for façade improvement that enhances curb-side appeal. This promotes growth and development for individual businesses as well as the entire area.

Two Rivers is proud to announce grant awards to four existing businesses that include:

Alley’s Palace - Teddi Hopstad and Pam Alley are adding curb appeal and giving downtown Glasgow other options for outdoor events by adding a gazebo and stage to their lot. This will look nice and also add to the overall appearance of downtown.

Montana Bar - Lana Monson and family plan to upgrade the large front window and put in a window that is split and slides on the bottom half. This will make it quicker and easier to serve customers during large events. This will hopefully create more revenue for the Montana Bar and create more options for major events in downtown Glasgow.

Saint Marie COOP - Pat Trotter is painting and replacing the windows of a commercial building in Saint Marie which was once the Post Office. They will be moving the thrift shop, and adding a small convenience shop/coffee shop. This will add curb appeal to Saint Marie and some convenience to the residents out there.

Stoughie’s Bar & Grill - Ron Stough is replacing the sidewalk in front of this bar and grill in Hinsdale. The sidewalk has major cracks and is very uneven. The upgrade will make downtown Hinsdale look nicer and will also get rid of any safety issues.

Two Rivers thanks all applicants and encourages others to look forward to future projects as we continue our efforts year after year through this program. Thank you for helping Two Rivers to make Valley County the best place to live, work & play.
