The FMDH Foundation Board of Directors would like to announce that they have decided to cancel this year’s 2020 golf tournament. For the past 21 years, the FMDH Foundation has held the Foundation’s Open Golf Tournament as its major annual fundraising event. So, to say this was not an easy decision is an understatement. Board President Somer Hoerster stated, “During these uncertain times, we felt it prudent to promote safety for our community, as we are in the business of helping support the best practice of healthcare in Valley County.”
Our local businesses are the reason our golf tournament is so successful every year. They donate merchandise, cash, time, and food allowing the FMDH Foundation to raise funds in order to award scholarships to area medical students and fund medically needed projects in Valley County. The board felt it important to take this time to say thank you to our community businesses for all their years of support, instead of asking for donations, especially when the last few months have been a slower paced life for all of us.
We hope to see you next summer at Sunnyside for another successful tournament where Gordon and Amy Bell, Cami Kalinski and Jeremiah Hopstad can defend their title.
