Adjusted Calendar Of Events In The Area

As of press time, the following events have been adjusted, postponed or canceled:

The Senior Citizen Center will continue Meals on Wheels. Grab n’ go meals are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for those age 60 plus with a $5.50 suggested donation. Please call 228-9500 by 9 a.m. to reserve a grab n go meal.

May 7 – Ham/pineapple, sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, cornbread and mandarin oranges.

May 12 – Hot dog/bun, macaroni salad, baked beans and pineapple/mandarin oranges

May 14 – BBQ baby back ribs, buttered corn, cauliflower and fruit

May 19 – Baked salmon, pasta, zucchini bread and tapioca pudding

May 21 – Roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, boiled tomato slices bread and coconut cake

May 26 – Fish sticks, basked potato wedges, coleslaw, roll and butterscotch pudding

May 28 – Stuffed pepper, buttered corn, bread and mocha fudge marble cake.

The 2019-20 Scottie All-Sports Banquet will be held virtually this year on Facebook Live. GHS head coaches and athletic director Flaten will present live, Thursday, May 14, at 7 p.m. Coaches will announce award winners for the school year including Varsity letter winners, All-State, All-Conference, Academic All-State, Team Awards, Golden Scottie Awards and the Male and Female Outstanding Senior Athletes. Spring sports participants for softball, golf and track will also be recognized.

The Glasgow City-County Library is offering curbside pick-up, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Make arrangements with the staff by calling 228-2731, e-mailing or placing a hold through their website.

The Valley County Food Bank will be open for its regular monthly distribution May 19 at 1020 1st Ave. North. Distribution will occur from 12 p.m. to 4p.m. If you need food, regardless of eligibility, before May 19, please contact Pat Hallett, 263-3353.

Summer hours for the Pioneer Museum starting May 5 through August are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Because of COVID-19 and travel concerns, the Opheim Reunion Committee is postponing this year’s school/town reunion until 2021. They have tentatively set the reunion for June 25 and 26, 2021. The Opheim Rodeo will be Sunday, June 27.
