Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Guns and Hoses Is On For Mar. 20 At VEC

Guns and Hoses/Skate for a Cure will take over the Valley Event Center on Friday, March 20, starting at 5:30 p.m. with food and concessions. The main event is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. when Valley County and Lewistown-based firefighters, first responders and local law enforcement will team up to duke it out to support the Valley County H.O.P.E. Project.

The game will feature one 20-minute period of game play, followed by a second period of games, including the infamous duck toss, soccer on ice and tug-o-war and others, followed by a third period of regular hockey action as the two teams battle for annual bragging rights. The real prize will be helping raise funds for the H.O.P.E. Project's mission of helping locals with medical expenses and keeping that support right here in the community.

The evening will also feature a free-will donation dinner of pulled-pork sandwiches, donated by Cisco and U.S. Food Services and prepared by the Cottonwood Inn, concessions and beverages. There will also be a raffle to give away five baskets stuffed with exciting wares to include a Yeti cooler and wine and spirits as well as a 50/50 drawing.

So, mark your calendar and come out to support this amazing community event and organization while cheering on your favorite team or team member.
