The momentum shifted in the second period when the Dawgs went on a scoring streak. Aiden Price got Glasgow up on the board first, scoring an even-handed goal, unassisted, at 12:08. After several minutes of end-to-end play, Tatum Hansen shot one past Copper City goalie, Lee Cunningham, with assists from Jackson Bishop and Joshua Llewellyn. A mere 18 seconds later, at 7:04 Connor Koski scored the insurance goal, with an assist from Lexten Fairclough.

The home team boys also managed to stay out of the penalty box in the second after racking up 16 penalty minutes in the first, including a 10-minute misconduct by T. Hansen.

The Dawgs came out in the third prepared to defend their lead, but the Kings were also ready to fight back. Twenty-three seconds later, Bartoletti, assisted by Gallicano, gave the Kings the lead again. However, Glasgow's Smith tied it again with just 31 seconds left in the first. K. Hansen turned away 9 of the 11 shots in the first, while the goalie for the Kings denied four of six shots.

One minute and 59 seconds later, he found the back of the net again to take the lead. Fighting from behind, the Dawgs battled back.
