Calendar of Upcoming Events in the Area

For September and October, the Valley County Pioneer Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fort Peck Interpretive Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through the end of September. Powerhouse tours are available at regular times daily through Labor Day, Sept. 2. Both are free. Call 406-526-3493 for more information.

SATURDAY – SEPT 14

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Annual Fly In and Car Show at the Glasgow Airport. Free airplane rides from noon to 2 p.m.

Noon - Twist of Lime Roping at the Cherry Creek Roping Arena. Entries begin at noon with roping at 1 p.m. Beer gardens and concessions will be available. All are welcome to attend.

7:30 p.m. - Moon Grazing Party at the Fort Peck Shooting Range. For more info., contact the Fort Peck Interpretive Center, 406-942-2152.

SUNDAY – SEPT. 15

11:15 a.m. - 30th Annual Saco/Hinsdale Community Potluck Picnic at the Bjomberg Bridge. Church service starts at 11:15 a.m. with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. Please bring a dish to share.

TUESDAY – SEPT. 17

9 a.m. - Live Under the Big Sky – Connie Wethern – Valley County EMT’s and History of the MT Farm Bureau on KLTZ.

10 a.m. - Fort Peck Seniors Fall Highway Cleanup. Meet at the Fish Hatchery for assignments. Chicken and salad lunch will follow at noon at the Fish Hatchery.

5 p.m. - Valley County Refuse District #1 meeting the third Tuesday of the month at the landfill.

5-7 p.m. - Medical Benefit for Floyd Peacher at The Connection, 640 2nd Ave. N.

7 p.m. - Northeast Montana Land and Mineral Owners Association meeting in Froid at the Community Center.

WEDNESDAY – SEPT. 18

Glasgow Hump Day

9 a.m. - Live Under the Big Sky – Robert Magnan and Fort Peck Tribes Bison on KLTZ.

1-4 p.m. - Veteran Service Officers will be at the Glasgow VA Clinic. Please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214).

5-8 p.m. - Alive at Five in the FCB Parking Lot.

THURSDAY – SEPT. 19

9 a.m. - Live Under the Big Sky – Valley County Road Supervisor Todd Young and GOP candidate for Montana Secretary of State Scott Sales on KLTZ.

9:30 – 11:30 a.m. - Veteran Service Officers will be at Malta City Hall. Please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214).
