The Little Hannahs (third and fourth graders) perform Sea Craze Flower Power at the Performing Arts Camp Showcase, Aug. 8, at the Fort Peck Summer Theatre.

They camped. They sang. They laughed. Some may even have cried a little as they said their farewells to the Fort Peck Summer Theatre's Performing Arts Camp.

Family and friends packed the seats at the theatre Thursday evening, Aug. 8, for the camp's grand finale showcase. Fans of the FPST were treated to a preview of the talent sure to grace the stage over the coming years.

Campers from across the area and Canada were eager for their time in the spotlight to display the skills they had worked on for over a week. Working with the theme "From Page to Stage," under Camp Director Megan Wiltshire, campers were divided into four groups based on age. More than 70 campers performed a variety of acts, including dance, song, and storytelling.

Three campers, Jeneva Allingham, Mariah Cathey and Clayton Marchwick, said their final goodbyes and were honored during the showcase as this was their last time as performers of the Fort Peck Summer Theatre's Performing Arts Camp. Each was gifted with books from the younger campers memorialized their time.

Though this year's chapter has closed, the story of the Performing Arts Camp will continue on for many years.
