Glasgow Clinic Specialty Care Welcomes New Surgeon

The Glasgow Clinic Specialty Care office is welcoming a new general surgeon to the family. Dr. Nicole Lorenz, M.D., will join Dr. Robert Crochelt at the clinic as a board certified general surgeon on Monday, Aug. 19, and will start seeing patients in the clinic a week later on Monday, Aug. 26. She will be providing a wide range of surgical services including gastroenterology, endoscopy, colonoscopy, breast, hernia repair and gall bladder.

Being a part of a rural community is nothing new to Dr. Lorenz as she was born and raised in rural Oregon. "I'm excited to move to Glasgow. I was born and raised in a small town and I've always wanted to move back to a rural community. In a smaller hospital, I get to do a variety of surgeries and I can get to know my patients on a more personal level. That is very important to me." said Dr. Lorenz.

Dr. Lorenz is moving from Silverton, Ore., where she has practiced at Legacy Silverton, Medical Center while also serving as their chief of surgery. She received her bachelor's degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine, in Chicago, and completed her surgical residency at Medical Education Partners in Grand Rapids, Mich.

"I have been looking for a rural opportunity and I was impressed with the hospital and the staff that works here. Everyone is incredibly nice, so that's a real bonus too!," exclaimed Lorenz. When she isn't seeing patients, Dr. Lorenz enjoys outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing, and just being outside with her two dogs, Thorn and Timber, named for the two Portland, Ore., soccer teams.

In addition to welcoming Dr. Lorenz, the Glasgow Clinic Specialty Care is also actively recruiting an orthopedic surgeon to be housed in Glasgow in order to add onto the already established relationship the clinic has with OrthoMontana, out of Billings.
