Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Giving Back

Gregg Hunter (l) with Nemont Communications presents Ann Kulczyk (c) and Maggan Walstad (r) -- both with the pool campaign committee -- with a check for $5,000 to go towards the Glasgow Community Pool Campaign. Glasgow Thunder Swim Team members are practicing in the background. So far the campaign has raised some $430,528 as of July 2.

The campaign began as a community driven solution to fixing the municipal pool, which was built in 1974 and has received no major renovation since. The current state of the pools structure and filtration is dismal and has been crumbling for some time. Earlier efforts to raise funds for a pool had failed and tax levies were met with resistance from county and city property owners. That left a fundraising campaign and grant requests as the only solution left to rebuild the pool.

NEMONT joins a long list of community businesses and residents who have contributed to the pool campaign. For more information visit their website at www. valcopool.com.
