Gayle Hill

 

Gayle (Browning) Hill, 84, of Billings, Mont., and formerly Nashua, Mont., passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Highgate Senior Living in Billings.

As per her request, no services are planned.

She was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Glasgow, Mont., to Gordon and Myrtice Calfee Browning. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Hill, in 1955.

A loving mother and homemaker, Gayle enjoyed attending all her children's sporting events, taking family vacations, bowling, hunting, fishing, and playing bingo at Highgate. In her later years she became a big Gonzaga basketball fan - Go Zags!

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Jim; her son Stuart; and her two brothers, Gordon (Buzz) Browning and Warren Brown.

Gayle is survived by five children, Lori (Rick) Viste, Charlene (Dennis) Critelli, Doug Hill, Brian (Belinda) Hill and Tom (Dawn) Hill; brothers, Russ (Marcia) Brown, Bob (Debbie) Brown, Merle Browning, Nicki Brown and sister-in-laws Mary Jeane Johnson and Katie Brown; nine grandchildren, Brandon Fullerton, Tyler (Aubrie) Viste, Kyle (Jessie) Viste, Tori Hill, Tessa Hill, Drew Hill, Derek Hill, Miranda Hill, and Grant Hill; and one great-grandchild, Ann Coe-Fullerton.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her during her last days.
