Billings-Based Rimrock Pediatric Dentistry Setting Up Satellite Location in Glasgow

Dr. Stanley and members of his staff from Rimrock Pediatric Dentistry in Billings, will be setting up a satellite office starting in January at Dr. Charles Wilson's dental office, located at 54253 U.S. Hwy 2, Glasgow. All major dental insurance will be accepted and as of now, Dr. Stanley will be seeing children Tuesdays and Wednesdays every two weeks for checks, cleanings and basic general restorations.

To get a feel of Glasgow and the area, Dr. Stanley and his staff visited on Oct. 17, performing basic screenings on the teeth of HeadStart children. In coordination with Sprout Oral Health, children had the opportunity to get their teeth examined, flossed and cleaned. Jamie Luong, program coordinator at AmeriCorps Vista serving with Sprout Oral Health tells the Courier, "We are reaching out to all HeadStarts in the state in order to target children from low-income families in areas that don't have a lot of pediatric care. We just found the perfect partnership with Rimrock Pediatric Dentistry and their willingness to come to Glasgow."

After seeing the area and learning about Glasgow, Dr. Stanley understands the importance of having accessibility to pediatric dentistry. "There is certainly a need for pediatric dental care in Glasgow," said Dr. Stanley. "We have a great practice already established in Billings and great staff, so why not travel to areas where we are needed?"

As time goes on and Dr. Stanley and his staff determine the needs of the community, days and services will hopefully expand. "We are hoping to add in other services, such as IV sedation which we currently offer at our Billings location, in the future. We are also hoping to expand the days we operate at our satellite office," said Dr. Stanley.

The staff at Rimrock Pediatric Dentistry now have an established relationship with Glasgow's HeadStart, where they will be visiting children once a year for annual screenings. With their presence in Glasgow four days a month, they are also hoping to develop partnerships with other preschools and daycare centers to ensure all children have the opportunity to have good oral health.
