Addison Young competes during the 4-H Horse Show, which was held at the Valley County Fairgrounds July 26 and 27. Young earned the top spot in the English Horsemanship I category.

The 2018 4-H Horse Show was held at the Valley County Fairgrounds July 26 and 27. The judges for the event were Todd Standley of Ulm and Emily Redfield (trail judge) of Glasgow.

Horse Show Awards

Randi Klind – All Around (Valley Vet Clinic); Ranch Horse All Around (Stacy Stellflug); High Point Overall (Don and Sheila Nelson); Horsemanship Level VII (KD Arena); English Horsemanship VII (Aune Masonry); Colt to Maturity – two-year-old, three-year-old, Green Horse Level IV (CHS, Cole and Emily Redfield).

Brooke Westby – 4-H Horseshow Sportsmanship Award (Cherry Creek 4-H Club); Colt to Maturity – four-year-old (CHS, Cole and Emily Redfield).

Charlie Cornwell – Speed Events (Aune Masonry); Horsemanship Level II (In Memory Of Garrett Younkin).

Laynee Simpson – Horsemanship Level 1 (Janet Newton/Tampico Boys 4-H Club).

Jack Cornwell – Horsemanship Level III (In Memory Of Clay Cornwell).

Daley Aune – Horsemanship Level IV (Dix Ranch); English Horsemanship II (Aune Masonry); Colt to Maturity – Yearling (CHS, Cole and Emily Redfield).

Addison Young – English Horsemanship I (Aune Masonry).

Showmanship Awards

Sr. Horse Showmanship – 1, Brooke Westby; 2, Randi Klind; 3, Trevor Klind.

Jr. Horse Showmanship – 1, Jack Cornwell; 2, Tatum Nyquist; 3, Daley Aune.
