Lois Marie Morehouse

Lois Marie (Jellum) Morehouse, 67, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in Billings, Mont., due to complications following kidney cancer.

Lois was born on Jan. 13, 1951, in Fosston, Minn., to her parents, Ruth and Gordon Jellum. She grew up in Glasgow, Mont., and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1969. In her retirement, Lois dedicated her time to keeping up with her grandchildren and caring for her garden and flowers. When diagnosed with cancer in May of 2018, she remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final weeks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Morehouse, and siblings, Dennis, Don, Gloria, Mary and David.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Morehouse, of Billings; son, Nolan (Tricia) Morehouse of Littleton, Colo .; siblings, Gale, Diane, Carol, Susan, and Steven; and five grandchildren, Taylor, Devynn, Ellie, James and Rayni.

Memorial services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 22, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, and was followed by a reception. Interment was held at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park after the reception.
