VC Pioneer Museum Presents Special Program

The Valley County Pioneer Museum will present a special program on homesteading women on Monday, June 18, at 7 p.m.

Author Philip Burgess will show his understanding and compassion for the homesteading women in “Penny, Post Cards and Prairie Flowers” and shines information on a little known corner of Montana history.

His book is a 100-year-old collection of stunning vintage postcards, which are used to piece together the story of two Minnesota sisters who traveled overland to eastern Montana in the early 1900s.
