Lauren Paul Stingley

Lauren Paul Stingley, age 52, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018, in Spokane, Wash.

Lauren was born on November 3, 1965, in Dickinson, N.D., to Leon Stingley and Ardella (Kruckenberg) Stingley. He spent his childhood growing up in Fort Peck and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1985. After graduating Lauren enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country for 20 years before retiring in 2005. During his time in the Air Force, Lauren served in Nevada, Washington, Delaware, Guam, Korea and the Middle East. While serving at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nev., he met the love of his life, Sharon Crigger, and married on December 12, 1987, and become the proud father of Sharon's son, Jason. Jadon later joined the family while stationed in Delaware.

Lauren was an avid lover of the outdoors who enjoyed spending his weekends on his boat fishing on Lake Roosevelt. He thoroughly enjoyed playing basketball, winning Hoopfest 10 times and recently picked up country swing dancing. Lauren thought of others and was always more than willing to help out others in their time of need, often when they didn't ask. He was caring, selfless, kind and a true joy to be around.

Lauren is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Ardella; his father in-law; and brother in-law, David.

Lauren is survived by his wife, Sharon; two sons Jason (Nicole) Crigger and Jadon; four brothers Jeff (Linda) of Alma, Wis., Kyle (Kim) of Glasgow, Mike (Shandy) of Nashua and Robert (Carol) of Riverton, Wyo .; two sisters Joy (Roger) Detienne and Lisa (Jon) Wiltfong of Glasgow; sister in-law Roxanne; brother in-laws Tony,and Bobbie; and mother in-law Shirley Miller; along with numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, Wash. on Wednesday, March 21, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, March 22, at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, Wash.
