Allen C. Sevareid

Allen C. Sevareid, 73, of Glasgow, Mont., passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018.

A memorial service will be Thursday, Feb. 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Bell Mortuary with a luncheon following at Bell Mortuary. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Glasgow at 12:30 p.m.

He was born in Glasgow to Henry and Ann (Waldhal) Sevareid on July 8, 1944. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1963. After high school, he went to neon sign school in New York, and he was drafted into the Army in 1968, receiving an honorable discharge in 1969. He married Julia Nelson in 1968, and they made their home in Glasgow.

He was a well-known sign painter in the Eastern Montana area. He enjoyed woodworking, planes, trains and painting. He was a member of the VFW, Jaycees and Elks.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry and Ann; one sister, Arlene; and wife Julia.

He is survived by two sons, Allen and his wife, Theresa, of Belgrade and Eric and his wife, Kristi, of Billings; five grandchildren, Kayla and her husband, Travis, Ryan, Alex, Sara and Tyson; and two great-grandchildren, Paityn and Zoey.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
