Calendar of Upcoming Events in the Area

WEDNESDAY – OCT. 4

2-3 p.m. - Caregiver Support Group meeting for adults who are providing full or part-time care to another adult who has a chronic illness or disability at the Valley County Senior Citizen Center, 328 4th St. S. in Glasgow. Meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday of every month.

3 – 4 p.m. - Flu shots will be given at the Hinsdale Legion Hall in the Montana’s Care van.

5 & 6 p.m. - The Local Working Group meeting at 5 p.m. at the Pioneer Museum, followed by a soil conservation workshop, “Drought and Soil Health on Cropland and Rangeland,” at 6 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.

THURSDAY – OCT. 5

9:30 a.m. - The Nashua Community is invited to the Ladies’ Coffee Hour every Thursday at the Nashua Senior Center.

7 – 8 p.m. - Grief Support Group, GriefShare, at the Glasgow Evangelical Church every Thursday through Dec. 21. Call the church office at 228-2755 with any questions.

2:30 p.m. - GHS Homecoming Parade.

6 p.m. - Scottie Booster Club tailgate party with Homecoming football game starting at 7 p.m.

SATURDAY – OCT. 7

7 – 11 a.m. - Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at the Cottonwood Banquet Room. Cost is $7 per person with children under 5 free when accompanied by an adult.

9 a.m. - 4 p.m. 2 Pups Pumpkin Patch will be open, located 5 miles east of Glasgow on Highway 2.

4:30 – 5:15 p.m. - Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums will be performing at Sunnyside Golf Course.

5:30 – 6:15 p.m. Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums will be performing at the Elks Club.

6:30 – 7:15 p.m. - Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums will be performing at Busted Knuckle Brewery

7-10 a.m. - Pancake Breakfast at the Senior Citizen’s at Senior Citizens’ Center, Glasgow.

7-10 p.m. - Bingo at the Valley County Senior Center, 328 4th St. S., Glasgow.

7:20 – 8:05 p.m. - Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums perform at Stockman Bar.

8:10 – 8:55 p.m. -Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums perform at Alley’s Palace

9 – 9:45 p.m. - Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums perform at Montana Bar.

10 – 10:45 p.m. - Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums perform at the Durum.

11 p.m. - Saskatoon Police Pipes and Drums perform at the Cottonwood.

SUNDAY – OCT. 8

Family Integrated Sunday Service is held every Sunday at 175 Ash Street, #B. Pastor Wendell Shrock, 406-939-0263. Sunday School at 10 a.m. and Worship Service at 11 a.m.

5 p.m. - St. Marie Fire Department training will change to Sundays for the fall and winter months.

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. - “Grant Writing Bootcamp for Nonprofits” to allow participant to learn effective strategies for successful grant writing to be held at the Cottonwood Inn, Glasgow. The fee to attend is $125 per person, however Two Rivers members receive a discounted rate of $100.

1 p.m. - Non-denominational Youth Group meets at Opheim High School every Sunday for grades 6-12. More info., call Tom Fauth at 701-260-3135 or Owen Childers at 406-263-5555.

MONDAY – OCT. 9

4:30-6:30 p.m. - Indian Taco Supper at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nashua. This will be a free will offering. Take-outs are available and everyone is welcome! Suppers are served every second Monday, September through April.

TUESDAY – OCT. 10

Two Rivers Economic Growth invites you to their annual membership at the Cottonwood Inn, Glasgow. Grant Writing Bootcamp for Nonprofits & Fundraising Workshops at the Cottonwood Inn, Glasgow. Thursday’s workshop from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., cost $150 per person, $125 for Two Rivers Economic Growth members, and Friday’s workshop from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., cost $75 per person, TREG members $65.
