The Scottie cross country team competed in two separate meets this past week. On Sept. 19, the squad traveled to Clark's Hill, just south of the Old Indian Highway, for an early evening race. The course for the Frazer meet is scenic and challenging as it is set near the Missouri River and features some demanding hills.

On Sept. 23, the team was in Havre for the Blue Pony Invitational. The race for this meet is held at the MSU-Northern campus and is comparably less strenuous than the Frazer location.

In Frazer, Emily Kolstad and Ali Cunningham both finished in the top seven, with Kolstad taking the top spot overall with a time of 21:10.

Kolstad also had a good showing in Havre with a fifth-place finish overall.

For the boys, Ellis McKean finished first for the Scotties in both races, placing third overall in Frazer and fourth overall in Havre.

Ike Braaten, Merlin McKean and Wilson Overby also placed in the top seven in Frazer.

The Scotties will host their own invitational at Fort Peck Saturday, Sept. 30.
