Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Valley View Home - Letter to the Editor

Why do I love our community? It’s my home. On Aug. 1, 1956, I rolled into Glasgow. To say I was welcomed with open arms would be an understatement. Since retiring from dentistry 31 years ago, I have visited most of North America, and many countries in six of our continents. My six brothers and sisters and many friends have invited me to relocate to “more desirable” parts of the country. My response, “No thank you.” I have found the most precious spot in the world, right here in Glasgow, Valley County, and northeastern Montana.

Much of what is now Glasgow has been dreamed about and put together by the most forward-thinking and energetic people I have known in my life. The unparalleled support of our friends in need in our area is legend. We enjoy the company of the finest people to be found on this earth. With that in mind, I know we will all step up to the plate and vote yes to insure the preservation and continued operation of a most necessary and valuable medical care facility, Valley View Home. To see even one of our family, friends, or neighbors sent out of our area for nursing home care should be unthinkable. Don’t forget to cast your ballot to preserve this facility that our community leaders worked so hard for that brings comfort to all. And also don’t forget about the legacy of the hundreds of dedicated nurses, doctors, and all auxiliaries who work beyond the call of duty to be there for everyone.
